After two years of gym and outdoor climbing in a more basic rig, I bought this harness as an upgrade. Originally purchased a Medium, I’m 5’4 with a 30” waist and it was WAY too big. Returned for a Small and it’s tightened all the way down in the waist if I’m not wearing layers. Leg loops have lots of room too, which is nice for getting it on over snow pants and boots in mountaineering situations. It’s relatively lightweight and compact but still nicely padded. Cute color scheme, gear loops are well situated and ample, I’m a big fan of the fifth loop in back. I wish the belay loop were just a little bigger, it tends to pinch the crotch a little more when bearing weight than my last harness (which had a bigger belay loop). Overall happy with the purchase! If you have relatively narrow hips or a smallish booty compared to waist I’d recommend sizing on the smaller side.
Some things I liked: the buckles and comfort and the generous leg loop size. Why I returned it: The description specifically said it had larger gear loops which I wanted for trad climbing. The gear loops are actually smaller than any harness I have had before. Also, I didn't like that they are entirely plastic. Then the two tie in point and, to a lesser extent, the belay loop, are oddly small.
I love the adjustability of this harness, I have curvy thighs and the BD harnesses tend to be too tight in the thighs for me while I can get a perfect fit with this harness. I like how the gear loops are large, rigid and flat to keep gear tidy, plus the 5th loop in the back. I use it for trad and sport and it’s comfortable all day.
