I'm so disappointed with these crampons.
I used these to summit Mt. Whitney, going up the slope, next to the switchback on June 18, 2025. I have a size 08 La Sportiva boot Trango Tech GTX Women. The crampons were simple to put on and easy to adjust. They look great. The right crampon toe piece did not stay put on my pair. It kept coming loose and moving forward even though it was still "locked" in by the bar. I'm so happy that it was not a technical climb. Defective and being returned. My climbing partner had the same style/brand crampons on, but different model and it worked great. Maybe is the boot? super light boot? I'm not sure, but these crampons didn't work for me.
Petzel Sarken Crampons
We purchased these crampons in late jun 2024 and used them ona climb up Mt Rainier... fantastic experience & the crampons were move than capable of the task. Huge thanks to Petzel and REI.
