Features

  • Kit includes an aluminum shovel and integrated storage container that holds a week's supply of PACT Wipes and PACT Tabs
  • Also comes with 60 PACT Tabs and 20 PACT Wipes in resealable pouches (that's enough for about 20 bathroom trips)
  • PACT Wipes are dehydrated and compressed; with a squirt of water, they unfold into a thick 9 in. towel
  • PACT Wipes leave you feeling cleaner at a fraction of the size and weight of toilet paper
  • Wipes are made of plant-based cellulose and are free of additives, plastics and antimicrobial treatments found in conventional toiletry products
  • PACT Tabs use a native, noninvasive species of mycelium to naturally break down poop in the ground faster; mycelium is the root system for fungi and nature's great decomposer
  • The mycelium in PACT Tabs also kills bacteria commonly found in poop that can harm waterways, wildlife and public health
  • Just add 3 PACT Tabs to your 6 to 8 in. deep cat hole, fill with dirt and let nature do the rest
  • Lightweight, durable aluminum shovel makes digging a hole fast and easy
  • Tubular shovel design eliminates sharp edges that can make digging difficult while improving strength and rigidity
  • Storage cartridge fits inside the handle of the shovel and stores 15 PACT Wipes and 30 PACT Tabs (about a week of supplies) and can be reloaded as needed
  • Spike on the Wipe storage cartridge allows users to stick the cartridge in the ground to keep the Wipes clean during use
  • PACT Tabs storage compartment includes a cotton ball to prevent spillage and rattling
  • Only use PACT Wipes and Tabs in areas where burying your waste is approved practice
  • All PACT Outdoors products are guaranteed for life

Just perfect!
Purchased this for bikepacking and it was so perfect. Small and lightweight. Shared it with my partner and had plenty of supplies for 3 nights out.

Cheap plastic
The concept is great but the plastic isn’t strong enough to properly slide into the metal shovel. Once the edge has a tiny scruff it won’t fit back into the shovel. You have to be very gentle when putting it back together and make sure zero moisture gets to the tablets. It works good for backpacking but needs an improvement.

Flawed Design - Traps Dirt

Has a fundamental design flaw with a few critical consequences. Although the all-in-one, self-contained design seems like a great idea, this means the trowel is a closed tube. What happens when you use a tube to dig in dirt? It fills with compacted dirt. So you need to frequently smack the trowel against something hard to dislodge the dirt. That's problem #1. Problem #2 is that unless you thoroughly clean out all the residual dirt... and I mean thoroughly... you will never get the holder part (that holds the paper tabs and mycelium pellets) back into the trowel. Even a small amount of residual dirt prevents the holder from sliding back in. The third problem is that if the soil is wet, the inside of the trowel will trap moisture that is then absorbed by the paper and mycelium. Better to buy a proper trowel, and water tight containers for the paper tabs and mycelium pellets.

Backpacking in WV

Took this up to Dolly Sods WV. Served its purpose as we spent 4 nights camping off the trails . But it was such a pain to slide it back into its storage. So irritating and to me not worth the fuss. Great idea in packing compact design but needs a redesign for easier use to put back into pack readiness. Too snug of a fit and constantly messing with it to go back into place

Awkward

Overall quite nice. However, the shovel holds onto the dirt so you have to wipe it out/off before you can reassemble everything. Awkward to do while squatting behind a bush. Also, the carrier for the wipes does not stand up very well even with the little spike. It may just be a learning curve, so I'll keep trying.

Small and works great!

I've carried this a lot during deer and turkey hunting, but have only used it once. The shovel is sturdy and can cut small roots, but it'll take you a bit to dig your hole as it's narrower than your old plastic trowel. The wipe stand did stand up for me, but ymmv. I was very happy with the compressed wipes, but can't speak to the composting ability as I'm not checking back up on that hole...

AMAZING MUST BUY

It’s genius!!! I wish I would’ve had this years ago. It’s so lightweight and easy to carry when camping or backpacking. Simple to use. It also makes me feel better about the environment. Kudos to the people who thought of this!

Great all in one kit

This is a great concept and is super easy to use and take anywhere. Recently went backpacking with my two girls and they were able to use it with ease. The wipes are phenomenal, like a bidet in the woods! Knowing the tabs break everything down makes this a no brainer.

Easily the best bathroom kit money can buy

Easily the best bathroom kit money can buy. The shovel is better than any other trowel I've used and its easier on the hands. It's lightweight and less clunky than carrying everything on a ziplock bag. The fungi tabs are cool and the wipes work surprisingly well!

Yes, I am reviewing a toilet kit- worth it!

Okay, probably the best thing about this kit: the toilet tissue! With a few drops of water, it turns into useful toilet tissue! The compact, lightweight and ecological design of whole system is pretty clever. The shovel is sturdy- but I think one would have to be careful about digging in too hard of soil. Can’t give it a 5 star only because I have barely used it so can’t comment on long term use.
