Hard to Mount at First
Bought this to compliment my Noc Zoom Tube for the upcoming eclipse on April 8. The glass itself looks good, but it has to screw into the Zoom Tube and that's where the issue is. The Zoom Tube has a rubberized coating on the outside and it curls inside the front of the tube making it very difficult to thread this filter in. I guess it's not so much the filter, but the tube itself that blocks the threads between the tube and the filter. That said, if you're patient and careful and can get it threaded the first time, it seems to ease the tension and gets much more cooperative the more you thread the filter on and off. I was able to look at the sun (no eclipse yet) and could see a sun spot. There's no a lot of zoom power here, but enough where the sun appears sort of dime size if that makes any sense.
Waste of Money
The Solar Eclipse Lens didn’t work a waste of money… used my iso glasses.
I like it :)
Its a little bit tricky to screw into the zoom tube but no biggie at all… and then you can look at the SUN! I think its an awesome accessory. I would have liked to see a pouch included…
It’s gonna be a NO from me.
Did not work at all. Could not focus the scope with it on. Such a disappointment.
