This bike has a good range for kids learning to ride. It was simple to set up out of the box, and the brakes and gears were well tuned to enable excited use right out of the box. The bike has quality parts, a well designed kickstand, shorter crank arms, small diameter grips, and easily adjustable handle bars - all of which really help kids feel comfortable on the bike. Quality tires are included, and the frame appears to have space so that more aggressive, off road tires could be added if desired for more trail riding options. The neck/stem has a very easy design to rotate the handle bars from a more upright, shorter top length to a more forward, aggressive, longer reach. This is a great design feature and was really simple, quick and easy to adjust - huge benefit here. The kink in the frame and seat post position prevents the seat from being lowered further down. The lowest setting is limited due to the frame design, some of the other bike options out there allow the seat to be far lower down, closer to the rear tire, which makes it easier for some kids to feel secure starting out with feet on the ground, before progressing to fuller leg extension with less foot contact with higher seat levels. This bike would get five stars from me if the frame accommodated lower seat heights and didn't have the kink upwards in the top bar where the seat post clamp is. This kink also impacts the comfortable straddle height for riders on the smaller range. This bike does have quality parts, which are reflected in the higher price range, and the neck design is an awesome feature.
My son loves this bike. I like it too … it entirely designed and configured for kids. It has unique features such as cross bar handle bar height adjustment, and frame configuration, the seat is designed for children and it’s super light. Required some setup when purchased online (I recommend reading the front brake setup on website as instructions were not very clear). All in all, great solid bike…
Took about 35 minutes to assemble. All needed tools included, except I used a bigger Allen wrench of my own to slightly lower one of the front brake pads because it was rubbing against the tire a little. Assembly needed included the front tire, front brake, handle bars, pedals, and seat. All of the assembly was pretty straightforward. The front tire does not require tools to take on or off. The front brake assembly was a little confusing (even following the instructions), but looking at how the rear brake was assembled helped me figure out what to do. Tires were already inflated. The bike operated smoothly from the start. Brakes work very well. The handlebars can adjust up and down and sort of forward and back by maybe two inches or so. This requires loosing and tightening two Allen screws, but the Allen wrench provided is too small for those screws. My son is 4'5," and the bike was a little tall for him. My daughter is 5'2," and it was a perfect height for her.
This bike is awesome. It is lightweight which is great for my 9-year old son. He doesn’t have problems maneuvering, turning, dragging, or anything else a kid does to a bike because of how lightweight the bike is. This bike is an excellent color and it really pops with vibrancy making it easier to see. He loves the rich, blue color because it is his favorite color. This was an easy assembly job too which was a welcome for me. Only a few things to align and tighten and he was off and riding. This bike handled road and dirt equally. This Woom bike is meant for road and is not a mountain bike but my son tested it anyway on the trails by us. It was smooth ride on both and had no problems. This is a great bike for roads, parks, neighborhoods, and anywhere kids are riding. HIGHLY recommend Woom bikes.
Absolutely love this bike, great quality all around. Got the bike for my daughter who learned on a few balance bikes and this is a perfect transition to a "big kid bike". Everything about this bike feels intentional to be the best. The components are top notch, it is incredibly light, and it's just a good looking bike. Only thing more I could wish for is I had this as my childhood bike.
