Ugly is Delicious!!!

I was very impressed by the quality of these snacks! First, the bag was absolutely full of delicious dried fruit. I’ve purchased other brands of similar products in the past and have been let down by the amount of snacks that came in the bag. This was not the case with this brand! Second, each fruit I tried was super yummy! I often make my own dried fruit at home but it is such a lengthy process. I love that these are just as good (if not better) than what I make on my own at home. The convenience of having them ready to go is a huge plus! Third, I LOVE that there aren’t a lot of ingredients in these. The only thing I’m looking for in a dried fruit is fruit! These are going to be a staple in my house from now on!

Great Concept, Mediocre Product

I love the premise of "Hello! I'm ugly dried fruit" and imperfect fruit not being wasted, but I wasn't terribly impressed with the end product. I tried sliced peaches, sliced nectarines, and whole cherries. The peach slices were too thin for my tastes, so they weren't very satisfying to eat, and they had only a slight peach flavor remaining. The nectarines were too sour and dry for me. The cherries were probably my favorite: they were moist and tasted like cherries. While I appreciate that none of these are sweetened, a little bit of added sugar probably would have improved the taste. The dried peached and nectarines weren't very pretty as dried fruit either, but that's probably to be expected. The cherries were more visually appealing.

Great snacks for hikes or whatever you like to do

Gerat product for a hike snack. You can throw the resealable bag in your pack and enjoy a sweet or tart healthy snack at the top of the summit. My favorite thing to was to mix the different flavor in a reusable bag and take it in a walk or hike. This a perfect food to get extra sugar in your body when you body is tired.

Versatile and Healthy 1-Ingredient Snack

Overall I really enjoyed these fruits. There's no added sugar, only 1 ingredient which is the fruit itself, and you can eat them on their own or as additives to your trail mix/yogurt bowl/recipes. Right off the bat I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of dried fruit per bag. -- Cherry: This was my favorite one. I ended up using some in my trail mix recipe instead of the usual raisins. The cherries are whole and pretty juicy for being dried fruit. They had a sweet, almost woody flavor (just like a cherry should). Peach: These were good. They come in these thin slices in the bag. My biggest critique is that they keep the skin on the peaches. This makes each piece a little inconsistent in terms of taste, where I have some pieces that taste great and others have less flavor due to it being mostly the skin. I ended up taking this with me to work to graze on throughout the day. It's a healthy but sweet alternative to other sugary snacks. Nectarine: Pretty much the same as the peach one with the skin being on these too. I'm not too sure I could tell the difference between peach and nectarine aside from the smell. It was good nonetheless, but I don't think I would purchase both peach and nectarine expecting a big difference in taste.

Great snack on the trails!

I love these ugly dried fruits! The company focuses on sustainability & I love that! It's all natural with no added sugar or additives. I've tried peaches, nectarines, and cherry flavors. I think cherry flavor was the best one out of the 3. When I needed something quick to snack on, I take these with me because they're light to carry on the trails. I usually grab these with me on my morning hikes to Cowl's mountain.

Ugly and delicious!

This was a unique selection for dried fruit. Since I never had dried stone fruit, it was a fun way to switch up my snacks. Their marketing of ugly and sustainable fruit was on point. I would buy again considering the delightful taste and impactful mission statement of the company.

The right balance of sweet and tart

I use these as a pre-run snack in the morning when I need something in my stomach that's not too heavy. Because they're not sweetened, they are a little tart, but I personally prefer this to sweetened options. I also loved that the fruit options are a little more unique than what I typically find in the store, and the texture is just right. Since they're unsweetened they pair well in trail mix (dried cherries, peanuts, and dark chocolate are a winning combo that I am taking on my next hike!) Like most dried fruit, they're super light and not easily crushed, so I took them train traveling and they worked great. The bag does hold more than one serving, but I ate them over a few days and didn't have problems with maintaining freshness in the resealable pouch they came in. Do recommend!

Yummy & eco-friendly! Love these snacks!

My entire family, including a picky toddler, loved these! Not only are they sustainable, but they taste good and are easy to take on the trail! They had a good texture and did not get squished in a backpack. I especially loved having them as a snack because they had a good fiber content. If I see these on the shelf, I will definitely purchase. All the flavors were delicious and easier than picking out fruit at the store.

Delicious! No sugar added & so convenient!

Great product! I love that there is no added sugar! The dried peaches were delicious. I love the idea of reducing waste and using the fruit that would normally be thrown out. My kids and I took these outside to snack on them while we played. Would be great for backpacking or simply keeping on hand in a diaper bag. There is a surprising amount of fruit in the bag. Great value!

Peach perfection

I’m a huge lover of dried peaches because my aunt made them for me with the peaches she grew on her farm when I was a kid. I’ve tried a lot of dried peaches over the years and these are closest to the ones I am nostalgic about. They hit all the right notes, sweet, tart, just the right amount of tough and cut thin enough that they actually feel dried versus mushy sulphured dried fruit. I love these! I also tried the nectarines, but find the flavour of the peaches to be more dynamic. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but when I’m craving something sweet and I’m checking out at REI it’s hard to resist these ugly peaches.
