Best Bag
I bought this bag for my trip to East Africa and it is proving to be a great purchase. The size is bigger than i thought it would be. There are pockets on the sides of the bag, the front of bag as well as inside the bag itself. The space for dirty laundry is key. This bag absolutely can be used as a carryon, and i just love how you can use it as a duffle and/or backpack. It’s waterproof and durable - so thankful to have this duffle bag on this African adventure
So spacious and sturdy
The Allpa 70L duffel bag is just what I’ve needed to condense all of my belongings and my 9 year olds too. I’m known for dragging around multiple duffle bags as well as a few baskets when traveling. All the hauling back and forth to bring things in is always exhausting. I got this bag for a roadtrip coming up with hopes that I could fit all of our belongings in just one bag. This bag is so large yet not bulky. I love the bottom compartment that could be a good use for dirty clothes or shoes. You can tell a lot of thoughtfulness went into designing this bag. I really try not to buy new items with how much waste is in the world but I felt great buying this bag knowing it is made from recycled/sustainable materials!!
Cheap and low quality stuff sack
The reusable stuff sack tore when I removed the bag after I received it. Snaps on the handle are difficult to snap.

Allpa 70L Duffel in Desert Brown
Got this bag for a recent trip to Costa Rica. I wanted something water resistant and with a lot of capacity. I packed all my clothes and items I wanted for the week inside of it, plus a couple pairs of extra shoes AND a rolled up Patagonia Black Hole 50L duffel. It was able to hold all of that and not skip a beat. When I was finishing up vacation and purchasing souvenirs, I simply pulled the Black Hole 50L out of the Allpa and used it to carry the souvenirs home (which also freed up enough space to store the more fragile items in the Allpa where the Black Hole had been). Great bag, performed as needed, looks sharp and looking forward to using it on future trips
I love the bag. It seems sturdy and high quality
So far I like the bag. It seems to have enough space for about a week of stuff if you are like me and have bigger clothes as a big and tall person and someone who carries a ton of extras (ie towels, travel pillow etc). If you are smaller/pack light I could easily see this being big enough for 2-3 weeks of clothes. I really love the bottom pocket as well. My only complaints are that I wish that the bottom was maybe a bit hard on the bottom as I can see it maybe taking a lot of wear and tear over time. I also think a shoulder strap would have been really nice and easier to hide backpack straps. Overall It is about a 9/10
Long hauls? No sweat!
I used this bag for the first time this week. Two countries, five cities and a lot of walking. I had no intention of carrying it around for as long as I did, but it was comfortable for me, despite having to carry it several miles at a time while pulling and holding other items. This will be my go-to for checked luggage on future trips. I also really like how much room there is in the bottom for used clothing. If you need to carry a lot of items a long way, this bag will make your life easier.
Tough bag, fits a TON of gear/ Black hole duffel
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect duffel. Look no further, here it is. Cotopaxi is so efficient in their packing , I unfolded it and bam, more than enough room. I’m excited to start using this for my travels! Great gear bag! Holds so much stuff and more. Love that it has backpack straps as a more convenient way to carry it. This product is thoughtfully engineered to have the functionality needed without being overly engineered. The Allpa 70L Duffel bag version is good for hauling a manageable amount of stuff for traveling by car or as a checked bag. Like all Black Hole bags, well made and durable.
Ready for the world
I purchased this bag for a 1 year solo travel. I needed something big enough to carry everything I may or may not need for a year, a duffel style open for convenience, back pack straps for carrying long distance and with room for a few souvenirs along the way. After looking into a billion bags, this was the only one that fit my needs and it's quality has exceeded my expectations.
Mission Extras
The Alpha 70L Duffel Bag is amazing. We fit as much stuff into it as any carry on. It increased what my son could take on his mission by a whole bag, yet fit right on his back, or could be checked as well. He was able to take extra things because the bag gave him so much space. This bag is sturdy, yet comfortable to carry. Highly recommend for anyone in need of more space.
