Snaps ripped off with First Use
We used this duffel bag for a long weekend the day after receiving it. I snapped the carry handles together after packing the bag up and when I unsnapped it, they stayed snapped together and ripped off of the handle. One snap even came completely off.
Love it but a snap broke on 1st use
I love this duffle! It is a great size for a long weekend. My only negative was that the plastic snaps on the wrap that holds the handles together were very difficult to snap shut & then one completely come off when I unsnapped them. I'm just going to add some velcrow to fix it. Other than that, its a perfect bag!
Disappointed this new "Allpa Getaway" 55L duffel vs. 50L duffel
I bought the Allpa "Getaway" 55L duffel May 30, 2025 thinking it was the same as the Allpa 50L duffel I ordered Feb. 28, 2025. My mistake! While a nice duffle, like the original, it is missing two features I really like. It does not have the zippered bottom for dirty clothes, and lacks a small zippered side pocket which I found handy for accessing small items. I would give the the original 5 stars. I subtracted two for the loss of these two features. If you didn't know the difference and expect them I think You would rate it 5 stars.
Good Quality
The quality seems very good. Took it on it's first two camping trips this summer. The zipper seems to be durable, the material was great. Having the backpack straps helped with loading - keeping my hands free so less trips into the camper! Wishing I had bought the bigger one so it would fit my pillow too, but that is a personal problem, not an issue!
Useful open storage bag!
Since having a kid I’ve needed a big open bag that I can overstuff. This duffel has the perfect internal volume to handle all the small bags and pouches I can throw at it and more! The stitching and overall construction is strong and solid. I love the stowable duffel handles and use the backpack-style straps more often than not!
Another fantastic Cotopaxi product
Like everything else I own from Cotopaxi this bag is great. Top notch construction quality with thoughtful touches that make it a great bag. One touch I particularly like is the way the backpack straps connect, instead of using a quick clip or type of manually run straps every time the bag uses a easy rapid connection that I’ll not do justice with my description (but it is a creative solution that’s just works). Materials are top notch, and it’s my go-to travel bag.
Purchased a 2nd
Initially got this bag as a gift and loved it so much, bought a 2nd one. We have a his and hers now! The backpack straps are great for travel. Have taken it on a train, in a car, and on a plane. The material is easy to clean for spots. The area at the bottom is great for shoes. Great for a long weekend.
Adventure Perfection
I bought this bag for a two week safari and it’s perfect. The size, straps and zippers are absolutly perfect. It’s easy to carry, pack, keep organized, and the wide opening makes finding things ideal. 10/10 will always recommend this bag for anyone needing a “safari duffel” that fits the soft side, 33lb limit criteria. This is my 4th bag brand I’ve tried and this is the first one that I have raved about. It’s perfect.
Sturdy bag
I ordered and returned this duffel. It was heavier and stiffer than I expected. I needed something lighter for a safari with strict weight limits for luggage. Even though it has straps like a backpack, it would be nice to have a single shoulder strap like a traditional duffel. I usually have a small day pack as well as the duffel bag. Even though I returned it, I thought the bag was well made and sturdy.
