[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 5'6 very busty and have broad shoulders. I always buy the men's jackets to have a good fit in the chest and shoulders. I love the length of the arms on this jacket. I have long arms and usually I struggle to cover my wrists. This jacket fits my arms, shoulders and chest perfectly. I get cold easily, so I love how toasty warm this jacket keeps me and it has really nice depth in the pockets. As always, the color is absolutely beautiful and vibrant. I got an orange color that may be called Cairo. I am obsessed with this color and have a coat, and two marmot jackets in this color.
This is a nice jacket, seems well made, however, the sleeves are about 2" too long and it is not warm enough for winter in MN - I tried it out today at 10° and got cold in 5 minutes. It might be ok at 30° being active. The design is a nice change from the typical puffer jacket - even with the sleeves being too long since they have a nice band at the cuff.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Warm and light and very stylish! This is a great deal on a hooded jacket.
This jacket is flattering, soft and lightweight. But REI classifies it as "warmest." Absolutely not. This is a jacket to wear if you're hiking and don't want to sweat but it's a little cool out — we're talking in the 60s maybe high 50s. It will NOT keep you warm if you're sitting still and it's 55 degrees out or even if you're moving around and it's cooler than 55 out.
I am lifelong Eddie Bauer fan but this Marmot Jacket changed everything for me. This is one of the best jacket under $200 (bought in discount) with best fitting and great warmth for Seattle weather. I am 5' 11" and 168 lbs and Medium size works best for me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the "WarmCube" in the Moon River color because I've really come to love puffy jackets. I was also stoked because I wanted my next jacket to be sky blue. As soon as I opened the box, I was a little surprised. On the website, "Moon River" totally looks sky blue, but in reality, it is more akin to what a river would look like on the moon...darker gray with a hint of "blue." I considered keeping it because I love the design, but the reality was the color was just too unappealing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So the WarmCube design really does work! I was wearing the jacket and moving around and it allowed it to breathe and once you stay stationary it warms right back up. The fit was good too (6’3’, 195lbs, Size L). It is more of an athletic cut so if you want some room go up a size. Overall really pleased and like this more than the puffy jacket it replaced by a name that started with A…
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket for my husband when it went on sale. The warm cube insulation pockets are only attached (on the inside) at intervals, which means the jacket has more stretch than you might think. I think they can also move out of position leaving cold spots with movement , but my husband said it was warm , lightweigh and comfortable and he likes it .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's still too warm out to test out it's advertised capabilities, but the build quality is exactly what I expect from Marmot. The only ding I would give on this particular model is the lack of a chest pocket for something like my smart phone. For practically 2/3 off the MSRP for a previous year's colorway, who can really complain though, am I right?
Jacket has tighter fit. More of an athletic fit. certainly adds to the warmth of jacket though. Not a sub zero jacket, but can get you through winter months with layers. Outer shell material is a lighter grade. But trade off is lighter jacket overall, just not going to avoid rips if you are rougher on jackets. Overall, it is exactly what I ordered.
