Wind-breaker? Not really
Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but this really isn't my idea of a "wind-breaker." It's two layers and even the outer layer would be too heavy by itself. It might make a fine cool-season jacket, but it is not exactly a wind-breaker. Also, it runs rather large. Order a full size down.
Perfect for PNW weather
I ordered this jacket well-knowing it would be thicker (ie. double layer) than a traditional windbreaker. I wanted something that could withstand the fickle PNW weather, meaning it could take light rain and gusty seaside winds. It is perfect for what I purchased it for, and I love the boxy relaxed fit. I ordered my usual size. Quality is at par with other Patagonia purchases
