Just completed the 10 day Peaks of the Balkans thru-hike with the Osprey Renn 65. So far I love it - great structure and features to pack for a full adventure. Missing a secret pocket for valuables like passport and cash but I'm sure it's on there somewhere. Great quality and comfort which is hard to find for me at 5"3. Thank you!
Only one backpacking trip so far, and this seems to meet my needs. I do wish it had more outside pockets, but this is great for the price. I like the adjustability, since I'm 5'2" with a short torso. The hip belt is super easy to adjust, along with all the other straps. The brain is also huge and convenient. Again, I'd like more pockets or webbing on the outside, but the loops will be enough to attach what I need. Looking forward to upcoming trips with this pack. I didn't notice any noise, but my friend behind me said it was loud and irksome - but it didn't bother me at all.
I like this bag and have had it for several years; it handles weight pretty well and is good for being my first backpacking bag. But I do wish it had more features like a front pocket, to store a jacket, etc, because I have to open the bag to put my jacket is. But I still recommend this bag, especially the trampoline back is very comfortable
Overall, I’m very satisfied. Lots of adjustments, the right number of pockets (not too many), and a built-in rain fly make this an easy choice. It was probably a little bigger than I needed as a solo weekender, but great for beginner gear that tends to be a bit bulky.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an EXCELLENT pack. I took it on the AT for four days with just a couple week of training with it and it fit perfect from the start. Super comfortable and balanced. My only addition will need to be a water bottle holder that I can reach with my pack on...
The backpack squeaked/creaked loudly with every step. It didn't matter how I adjusted the straps or how much weight was in the pack. Unfortunately, I had to return it.
We're so pleased with the Osprey backpacks we recently purchased for our local Cadet unit. Great to have quality kit to help young people enjoy outdoor adventures
