Great gloves but don't sweat in them? They dye your hands REALLY orange, hopefully it stops doing this after a few rides? Otherwise they are honestly great gloves, really great grip and bar feel, padding in the right spots and maybe a little hot.

I bought these gloves for dirt biking

Even thought I bought these gloves for dirt biking, I will use them for mountain biking this summer once the snow melts. I like having the leather palm for more protection when I crash. The gloves were a little tight at first in-between my fingers, but by the end of the day I didn't notice any restriction - plus leather is great because it eventually forms to your hands. I like how thin they are, these gloves are the perfect weight with the right amount of cushion on the palm - no blisters after 40 miles and no issues with overheating. My only complaint is the touchscreen could be improved, I was able to take pictures but had to take them off to look at the map on my phone. Excited OR created gear for biking, the Freewheel shorts are also perfection. Would love to see another option in a lighter color for riding in the summer! For reference - I bought the Pro Khaki colorway, size Small (usually a size Medium in women's gloves).

No Good

I am on a 700 km gravel bike packing trip and after 3 days of riding the cuff seam on both gloves has ripped out. Extremely disappointing considering these were the only gloves I brought. Also can't use my navigation device without taking the gloves off. Normally have found OR products to be of good quality and value. Yikes!

Love these gloves - instant classics.

Instant classic. I'm a bit of a glove snob and have tried countless brands and styles in search of what works for me. These gloves have nailed what I have been searching for. I strongly prefer adjustable cuffs and this thin neoprene like material and design is perfect and doesn't interfere with the buttons on my smart watch. The first pair I've found that can do this. The absorbent terry cloth thumb wipe is great for wiping things on your face that just need wiping. The beat part though is the goatskin palms with the strategically placed padding. Just enough padding and a really nice grippy, tactile feel on the bars. I dare say this part makes the gloves feel luxurious and buttery soft while being perfectly grippy. Just primo. I really hope to see this glove offered in many more colors.

Working great for me

Great grip, comfortable, sensitive feel, touchscreen compatible. Had an issue with the cuff seam failing on one pair but OR warrantied that without issue. My one warning is that, at least with the the beige gloves, they can stain your hands from the leather dye when the get really wet. Nothing soap can't deal with but maybe would bother some people. Seems only to happen if you ride in the rain, not just from hand sweat.

Torn

Glove tore after only a few months of light use. I used it on my motorcycle primarily, which involves very little intensity to the hand and anything that happens to be on it except in the event of a crash, which didn’t happen. The gloves specifically tore between the spandex cuff and the microfiber brow wipe near where the anatomical snuff box is.

They fit like a glove

I ordered the gloves based on the size chart and they fit perfectly. They are snug, but stretch enough to be very comfortable, no seam rub or bagginess. I have used them on about a dozen rides and have rubbed them against tight trees with no damage. The last week has been hot and I have not had any sweaty hands. I purchased these gloves.

Fancy race car gloves

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These gloves fit perfectly and are like a second skin. Protective and very breathable. These gloves work perfectly with rubber lock on grips. If you use silicone style grips you may slide a little, the leather works much better bet a rubber grip. Absolutely amazing feel and function. The next thing I would like to see louder colors

These fall apart with normal wear

The cuff separated from the body on the first day. I sewed it back on for the first glove, the other glove cuff separated about a week later. I held out on these for a few months but after the first glove started separating in another area I had to toss them. I got these because OR is awesome at gloves. Not these gloves I guess.

Stylish and comfortable in a minimalist package.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a big fan of minimal bike gloves that don't add a lot of bulk, breathe well, and fit like second skin. The Freewheel Leather Palm gloves tick all those boxes! The leather palm is supple when gripping handlebars and does not bunch up under hand, with the right amount of stretch on the back panel to maintain comfort on the trails. Laser perforations on the underside seem to help with airflow but will be curious to see how these ventilate during peak summer heat. I'm not usually one to buy gloves with ANY padding, but the added material to the palm adds a welcomed extra bit of comfort without being noticeable. Material, fit, and finish are top notch as there were no loose seams/stitches, and gloves still feel and look brand new after the initial test period. Touch compatibility is as expected and works as designed. Would love to see a strapless cuff design in the future, but overall my first experience with Outdoor Research mountain bike gear is a positive one!
