Temperature ratings are intended as a guideline to help you compare products, rather than a guarantee of warmth, since many different factors contribute to your comfort while you sleep. Backpacking bags are typically rated for temperature according to an independent testing protocol—currently International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 23537, though some older items followed European Norm (EN) 13537. Testing is based on a person wearing one base layer and a pair of socks, sleeping on an insulated surface with a minimum R-value of 5.38.

Each bag then gets 2 ratings: the Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "cold sleeper" comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "warm sleeper" comfortable. Some brands determine their own temperature rating by aligning to the Comfort rating for women’s bags, to the Lower Limit rating for men’s bags, or somewhere in the middle for nongendered bags.

Feels great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids decided to have a sleepover inside the bag I. Their own room, they thought it was warm and cozy but again we used inside the home, we haven’t had a chance to use outside but the temperature limit on it is great. You can unzip in multiple places and comes with its own bag.

Lightweight sleeping bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this sleeping bag! It’s so soft and comfortable. The comfort level is rated at lower limit of 15°F. Hopefully, I won’t be anywhere that cold. It’s also small and compact so it’s easy to store and travel with.

Good quality sleeping bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't wait to use this camping! This is a very nice quality down sleeping bag. It's comfortable and roomy and is rated to keep you warm down to 15 degrees! The down didn't poke through the fabric and the zippers worked nicely. My only issue is that one of zippers seems to need fixed as noted in one of the pictures. I like that it came with both a storage cube so the down doesn't get deflated in storage but it also has a travel bag for your trips!

Cold spring and summer nights and I'll be warm as a bonfire in this bad boy! The material is durable and the free flow zip system works amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super comfortable sleeping bag with a really good design to keep the zipper from breaking. Warm and more comfortable than most. Beautiful color and had multiple bag sizes to choose from.

LOVING this Sleeping Bag; Bought Used in Excellent Condition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for future, unknown trips. My nephew immediately took it out of the box and got into it. He looked so comfy I decided to try it in my bed and now I just love it and sleep with it. It OPENS on the bottom to stick your feet out. This is why I bought it. I can't stand sleeping without sticking my feet out to breathe lol. So, it hasn't even made it outdoors yet but the quality and comfort is excellent. I bought it used on the site and it was in excellent condition as described. Has a very nice packing bag as well with straps. This is why outdoor equipment is worth paying a premium; you really get what you pay for and I highly recommend the brand.

Top of the line product that wont disappoint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The package quality is next to none- the quality of the sleeping bag feels like a sleeping mat built into the sleeping bag. Also comes with a user manual and a sleeping pouch container to hold the sleeping bag. Using it for last 1 month 3 things that stood out 1. Feels like I'm sleeping on a could, sleeping bag comes with a comfort padding and not just a bag with cheap/useless materials. 2. Quality control is superb, company makes sure products are correct and very attention to detail. 3. Overall the retention of heat is appearant and the product holds to its standard

Great lightweight sleeping bag!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sea to Summit Trek Down Sleeping Bag is really nice! It’s super lightweight but keeps you warm! The zippers are a little odd with them over lapping. It comes with a nice bag to put it in to store away!

Awesome sleeping bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this sleeping bag! I typically go camping more casually, as in not backpacking for multiple days, etc., so keep that in mind when considering my opinion. The sleeping bag is lightweight yet warm. I’m glad it unzips on either side and includes various snaps and loops for increased functionality. I am an average height female of slim stature but I chose to purchase this version instead of the women’s version. I haven’t compared sizes or other specs, but figured the unisex version was a safer and more flexible bet. I picked the 30 degree sleeping bag again for flexibility. I’ll be able to layer within the sleeping bag if I happen to camp in colder weather. I love the vented storage bag (as pictured). Not all sleeping bag storage bags are vented and that’s a big positive for me.
