Great for traveling or running errands around town
This bag is the perfect size to use as a personal item on an airplane, or for running errands around town. It has room for all of your essentials, plus any other extra items like gloves that you may need. The internal pockets are handy for protecting your phone and stowing small items like chapstick, nail clippers and eye drops, so that they don't get lost in the bottom. There is a clip for keys as well. I like the lining inside which is made from recycled materials. Locking front zipper and a cable to secure the bag to a chair is a huge bonus when traveling. The strap can be moved to either the right or left side depending on how you like to carry it, and can be swung over your shoulder or worn like a messenger bag. One issue I have with the bag is that there is a spot near the zipper where the stitching is torn. Hopefully it won't get worse as time goes on. Another minor issue is that if you are wearing it messenger-style and need to swing it around to access your items, the bag will be sideways, which can allow items to fall out if you aren't careful.
Hands Free and Easy
With the cold weather in NYC - I haven’t been able to do many outdoor hikes. However, I took this to run the gym and some errands. It was the perfect hands free bag that is incredibly sturdy, water resistant, and very light weight. Was able to fit all my essentials, a water bottle and added bonus of having the convenient zipper on the outer pouch to hold my metro card and credit cards. The zipper on the outside was able to be secured by a loop hole, so someone couldn’t quickly unzip from behind.
A fanny pack....sort of?
I am personally a big fan of the one-shoulder bags for everyday use. I have one that I've been using for years from Eddie Bauer which is great for traveling (as a personal item). I even use it on short hikes. This bag from Sherpani is very cute and stylish, I love the colors, and it fits a similar style to what I know I like already. Pros: it's small, a good bag for everyday use if you only carry a few things. It has tons of security features making this bag good for travel if you are concerned about someone walking off with it or grabbing it. The shoulder strap can swap between sides - this is a big one. Single strap bags that can only be worn one way are goofy. For someone like me with flexible shoulders it's important to be able to wear either way, and avoid fatigue while walking long distances. Inside mesh pockets and flaps help with organization, passport, tampons, etc. It fits a nalgene, phone, Ipad mini, sunglasses, keys, wallets, headphones...but maybe not all at once. Cons: it's small! Don't expect to carry a bunch of extras here, or even as many extras as you would otherwise be used to. Yes you can fit a nalgene but a smaller bottle would allow you space for other things. Iphone fits in the outside pocket, barely. The major oversight is no phone pocket on the strap. This feature is included on my Eddie Bauer bag and it's SO handy. If they included a phone pocket on the chest strap it'd be 5 stars from me. You might think about this like a fanny back for your back - similar in size and function. But the nice thing about a fanny pack is that you can get to everything quickly and easily. Not so with this bag, but it is cute! It might even replace my current bag for some things, like hiking, where I could easily put my phone in my pocket. If phone access isn't a big deal for you then this might be perfect.
Great little grab and go!
Out of the box: love the look! Colors are beautiful, simple design. Lots of thoughtful security features that are appreciated; not sure whether I would use the cable on the back, but it’s a slim enough profile to not be obtrusive when not in use. Main compartment is deep with two large pockets. Front pocket is deep with “locking” zipper, though the pocket fabric feels a bit thin. I haven’t yet had the opportunity to travel with this bag (next trip is coming up), but I have galavanted around with it locally quite a bit, stashing wallet, water bottle, and small notebook, or emergency babe diaper, wipes, and extra clothes. I do wish it had a more functional (yet secure) clip or buckle on the strap so I don’t have to mess with pulling over my head each time I need to put on or take off. Overall, great little bag to grab and go wherever the day takes you.
Actually useful as a diaper bag
I would normally use this type of bag for travel but as a new mom, I noticed this was the perfect size for diapers and wipes. So I used this instead of using a huge diaper bag that's too big for short outings or a fannypak that gets in the way if you're using a hipseat for baby or just doesn't feel right across the shoulder, and it was actually great! It's super comfortable, really great quality, I love the Korean inside, and it fits everything you need for a quick outing with baby: diaper, wipes, snacks, bib, and more space for an extra set of clothes in case of a blowout, etc. Probably not the original use for this bag, but I'll be using it as a diaper bag!
Perfect on the go casual bag!
I LOVE this bag! If you like the look of a belt bag, but need it to be just a bit bigger/more functional, this is perfect. It’s just the right size to carry a wallet, sunglasses, dog bags, keys, and a small water bottle. I love where you can clip things on the outside as well. Because of its shape, it doesn’t budge or slide when slung around your chest/back.
Go-to daypack for bike rides
Love Love Love this bag! I enjoy long exploration rides on my bicycle and this is the perfect bag for riding, especially to pack more items for longer day trips. It is somehow super lightweight, yet also comfortable with appropriate padding, and I can already tell how durable it is. I can easily fit both my iPad and iPhone. The extra security features are an added bonus as a solo explorer.
Great for a day out!
I wouldn't use this bag every day, but it is great if I'm going to be out and about running errands or going on a hike. There was a lot of thought put into the design. The front pocket is RFID protected, and the zipper for it must go through a small loop, so it feels very secure--so secure that it's slightly inconvenient. There are loops along the bottom of the RFID pocket for carabiners! There's a ReturnMe tag in case it gets lost, but seeing as this bag is so light and easy to keep on your person, I don't foresee losing this like you would luggage. There's also a chair lock loop to prevent walk-by theft. I have used the loop just once since I've gotten the bag, and I think if I were somewhere more unfamiliar, I would use it more. I love the small loop at the top, because it hangs easily when I get home. There's a protective pocket that looks like it's for small tablets, but I liked using it for papers (brochures, tickets, takeout menus), wet wipes, dry wipes, and I clip pens to the top of the pocket. I also found that you can switch the "handedness" very easily by unclipping the bottom of the strap from the right side and putting it over to the left. I used this primarily on a trip to Oahu in January. It's very light, comfortable to wear, great for hiking with, and in addition to the items I put in the tablet sleeve, I also fit my wallet, coin pouch, 2 collapsible bags, a collapsible jacket, a poncho, sunglasses, and a beer coozy ALL AT ONCE! I wouldn't use it every day, especially in the midwest, because it's harder to put on when I'm wearing a coat. I could see myself using this in the summer, though. One thing I really wish it had was an easy-access pocket, like the tech sleeve but on the outside back (so it's against my body). Then I could reach my phone easily, and it'd be pretty safe up against my body. Other than that, it's an awesome bag, and I'm definitely taking it with me on future travels.
Absolutely the worst quality
So disappointed. This bag didn’t even make it to check in at the airport before the strap broke and frayed completely. Absolute poor quality. I’m on my way to Spain so I am stuck with it. I will be returning it when after my vacation. I have never bought something that didn’t even make it on a trip before breaking, this is the first time I’ve used it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BAG.
Small pack - lots of features
I took this small pack on a recent trip to Mexico for walking around the old town and market. It's a great little travel bag--lots of features that make it feel secure for travel like a zipper that can't be easily opened on the outside pocket and a cable for attaching it to a chair while eating out. It was super comfortable. While it's a pretty compact size, it easily fits a wallet, passport, snacks and maybe a small water bottle. I used it to carry some small souvenirs I bought. It was a great alternative to a purse that was comfortable for all day wear.
