Great jacket but fit was tough to get right.

High quality jacket but hard to get fit right. I wear a Janji Rainrunner jacket in a size Large and love the fit. This windbreaker seems to be a differently-sized jacket as I chose a large to fit my chest but the arms seem too long. I probably just need to down-size to a medium. But I love the feel of the material.

Great lightweight, breathable running jacket!

I recently bought this jacket and love it so far. Unlike the Houdini this jacket has slits in the back making it breathable. It’s water resistant but not water proof. On a 5 mile run in the Seattle area rain, the jacket did a good job repelling water the first three miles but by mile 4 the jacket was getting saturated. But it’s not intended to be a rain jacket. I’m 6’6” and 210 lbs, and the XL fits great. Sleeve length is long enough and the fit is a bit trim. Overall, a great jacket. Highly recommended

Made for running 🔥

It does break the wind. I wear it for running with 3 more layers and it's flexible. You can adjust the hood too which is a plus. Love the pockets where i put my keys and phone if i have to. I love the green color and they shiny logos. Worth it for those early and late winter times.

My first windbreaker

I bought this before our local Turkey Trot 5K and after hearing Coach Bennett talk about using one during one of his guided runs. He was talking about running in the cold and recommended a base layer, an insulated layer if it was particularly cold and a windbreaker to top it all off. I looked at this one and a several others at our local REI a couple days before the race. This one had more “features” (pockets, drawcord waist, lightweight, etc.) than the others and it was on sale, to boot! Temps during the 5K were a breezy 17 degrees F before factoring in windchill (2-5 degrees with windchill). The aforementioned 3-layer setup kept me comfortable (with movement) before the race started and worked well for the first half. I unzipped the windbreaker more and more as I got warmer and, by the halfway mark, had actually taken it off and tied it around my waist. I put it back on for the walk back to the car. So glad I bought it and it’ll be part of my go-to getup for all my winter runs.

Nice Shell - But I Returned Mine

I bought the Janji Zephyrunner Wind Shell for those cooler days or for when it rained just a little, and I wanted some protection. I loved the color, design, and how easily it tucks into its own pocket. It was super light weight, and the material felt very nice. I wanted to keep it forever, but I found I couldn't get comfortable in it - mainly because its too long in the torso. The bottom kept bunching around my waist as there was too much material and it looked funny. This jacket is made for a much taller person with a much longer torso. I'm 5'7" and felt that it was easily 5 inches too long. I considered having it tailored, but was concerned the local tailor couldn't alter it well enough with the specialty material. If you're a taller runner, this may be the jacket for you. If you're not 6 foot tall, you may want to check other brands.

Perfect Running Jacket

Went for a run an hour after purchasing this Janji Zephyrunner shell and loved the fit, breathability and temperature regulation this jacket provided. This jacket is light and quiet with perfectly placed pockets, you forget that you are even wearing it. Also love the Thistle color!

i almost loved this jacket

The material, style and fit are on point! All was good until I commuted to work on my bike. The sleeves were soaked with sweat and the jacket was sticking to my skin. I absolutely dislike when wet things stick to my skin. This jacket is great to wear until you start sweating.

Lightweight, but annoying zipper

The achilles heel of this product is the zipper at the collar being too stiff, so when you have it unzipped the collar doesn't lay flat, but comes up to poke your jaw and neck. Other than that, it is nice, functional, and feels really well built for how thin and light it is

Ultralight shell

I wanted an ultralight wind resistant shell with good ventilation. This was it . I was disappointed with the color selection yet I liked the only thistle color available at the rei store. Sizing to be worn over multiple layers required try on at the store.
