Way to narrow for average width feet.
Own them for a few weeks and find them way too narrow for an average width foot. Stopped wearing them after two days. It sucks because they were not inexpensive. Thinking of just taking the loss and donating them. I don't return items, I just stop buying from companies that make bad claims on sizing. If you have narrow feet you might like these.
Lightweight, great treads, great cushioning
I got these, because I was looking for lightweight waterproof trail running shoes, and my Capital One shopping app popped up with a deal. I own Merrell hiking boots, so I was confident they’d fit properly. The shoes were super comfortable from the first run! Waterproofing tested and passed when I got caught in a downpour. I love that the laces can’t come untied, and the dial tightening system works great. All of this, and the color is gorgeous!
Agility Peak 5’s go to Switzerland
Bought these for a spring trip to Switzerland where lots of walking and rain was expected. My feet were dry the whole time, the shoes are the most comfortable I have ever owned and I wore them everyday with every outfit. I love these shoes.
Poorly made
The top stitching is coming out above lace holder closest to big toe.
Sturdy, but not that flexible
The Merrell's are sturdy. I am auditioning them for a trip to China where we are to expect rain. So far, I haven't had a chance to test the Gortex. The Lacing cranks are interesting, but they don't allow for much variety in the lacing for my very narrow foot. A little slippy in the back that I am solving with shoe inserts.
gimmicky lace tightening knob
I returned these shoes without ever wearing them. I ordered them online and did not notice that they didn't have simple shoe laces. I did not like the gimmicky lace tightening knob. It seemed prone to failure and did not tighten my shoes the way I like to. Otherwise the shoes felt comfortable.
Perfect for Ultralight and multi use travel
Very comfortable soles for all day walking, soles ready for the trails, and the all black design looks sleek for metal concerts as well. I wasn’t sure if I would like boa laces but I like them better than the pull and cinch ones and they don’t come undone like traditional hiking laces tend to. I used to have to pack 2-3 pairs of shoes to do it all, but now I can bring just one! A leap forward in my ultralight packing goals. Thinking of buying a second pair to have on deck after these go.
Great Shoes, just has a little heel slippage
I absolutely love the feel of these shoes. The footbed is beyond comfortable. I have type 1 diabetes, so shoe fit is very important. They look awesome. My only complaint is the heel slippage with the BOA system. I feel like maybe an extra lace loop higher up or on the sides, may help. I am going to get some heel cushion pads to see if it helps. I won't return them because they are so unbelievably comfortable on the foot.
Perfect for winter runners!
Perfect for winter runners! I’m in upstate NY and it’s been a very snowy winter, these sneakers have helped me stay active, truly non- slip and great in the snow/slush. I was surprised to see a lot of the reviews saying they run narrow/small, I thought I opposite. My foot runs wide and they are so comfortable and there’s plenty of room for thick socks.
