Darn Tough product sizing
These seemed like nice socks although the sizing is completely off. I typically wear size 8.5-9 shoes, so I ordered the medium, which is listed as size 6-9. It was easily comparable to large size 12 socks of other brands and simply didn't fit. Too bad REI doesn't sell the size small. Also, for reference, I bought a pair of medium (size 6-9) Darn Tough crew socks at the same time and they were far too small. They might have qualified as a size 6 in other brands. Overall, very poor quality control in terms of individual sizes and in terms of having consistent sizing across Darn Tough products.
Great socks but need correct product for women
Great quality socks BUT, REI these are listed under the category of women's socks on website except they are men's socks as I discovered and do not fit the same! Darn Tough makes the same sock in women's sizes. Wish REI would stock!

Wrong size
Medium fits like a large.. very incosistnet sizing across models.
sizing is weird (Men’s L)
I bought white darn tough L at same time and its size is consistent with other darn tough I have (on the smaller/compression size which I thought was normal). These are huge in comparison. I am US 9.5 running shoe for reference. Likely would still recommend but just be aware of sizing issue. I have reference picture but it doesn’t seem to allow me to post a pic.

Runs one size larger than normal. I wear size 11, got the large size, feel like they are XL. Way too big, bunches up on toes
