great knife, sheath is not my favorite
I love the feel in hand, blade is great, functional size. I am disappointed in the sheath. It is not intended to attach to belt (per Benchmade rep I reached out to). Knife itself is really great though.
Benchmade Raghorn review
Good knife, very sharp out of the box. Functional jimping placed strategically with skinning in mind. Steel used is premium, but the handle could have been better. I don't have big hands, and still the handle feels thin and a bit slippery. I am questioning how it will be when wet. Sheath is sub-par, flimsy and clunky. I will definitely need to upgrade it. For the money they charge, I would have expected a better sheath, and maybe a thicker handle.
OD Green is it!
I absolutely love the OD green colors. This knife is very sharp, and the feel of the G10 handles is smooth yet appears to be rugged in the field. I hunt a lot. I have about four other fixed blade Benchmades, and this is a top favorite. Do recommend.
Raghorn - in the kitchen or the field!
I bought this to use as a kitchen knife. It’s great when you need something larger than a paring knife, but smaller than your average chopping knife. The S30V steel is awesome - far better than the stainless steels used in many of the “fancy” brands you buy from kitchen and bath stores. I just finished sharpening all of my kitchen knives. The difference in steels is dramatic. S30V is the base-grade steel used by Benchmade. It’s better than anything else I have in the kitchen, except for the Benchmade Meatcrafter made from S45VN. And in that case, it’s hard to tell the difference between the two. The Raghorn is very comfortable in the hand, well balanced, and offers a few options for hand positioning that improves the overall utility of the knife. In the kitchen or the field, it’s a great knife to have around.
Great knife for big hands
A gift from my amazing girlfriend. Absolutely love this knife. I have enormous hands - xl gloves are usually too small. This knife fits my hand perfectly. Sharp as heck and very, very pretty. Sheath is well made, but It doesn't fit on a most regular belts. Looks like the strap would have to be no larger than an inch.
