[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My grandkids didn't want to wait for a camping trip to try out our new tent. They wanted to sleep outside without the fly on the tent so we could go to sleep gazing at the stars. The boys are 7 and 8 and helped me put the tent up, it was unbelievably easy and fun doing it together. Even though we didn't put the fly on the tent they wanted to read the instructions on how to put it on. The 7 year old commented on how genius it was to sew the instructions to the inside of the bag and it's not paper, so it won't rip. The only thing I wish is that the bag was just a bit more spacious. Which seems to be pretty common with camping gear.
Love this tent!! Been using it for about 4 years now. I love that while camping i don't have to worry about bright headlights shining in my tent or other campers fires or string lights being so bright I can't really sleep. Easy to set up for one person. Great for fitting a my SUV blow up mattress in and still have plenty of room for my cooler, battery banks, and my duffle bag for clothes. Plus still room to room a arounf a bit. I'm 5'3 so I don't need a lot of space which makes this tent great. On l y down fail is now the rain fly is starting to show signs of wear amd tear.
The tent is really great as I’ve had it for several years now, so far everything still works amazingly. Zippers work well, there’s enough pockets, and a hook on the top for lights. It’s easy to set up! There is even like a tarp? that comes with it to cover up the screens and it mostly is waterproof! To put everything back is just as easy, there’s an option to rip the bag it comes it to expand it so everything can fit back in there. The only thing is, this feels more like a 2-3 person tent.
Use it for the first time this weekend. It was so easy and I loved it. The only thing I wish it had was some thing like a stake at the front center of the screen so when you pulled the zipper up something was there to hold down the floor. I also wish there was some sort of a hook on the interior center of the tent to hold a very light lantern like my old tent did when I was a kid. Not sure yet how I feel about the whole back window being screen only and you’re not able to cover it up.
This tent is great! Assembly is easy, even after a tough day hiking. The vestibule is great for storage and extra space for changing. We were able to stay dry during a quick rain sprinkle. Surprisingly we can all stand up in the tent! There is plenty of pockets inside for phones/ flashlights during the night. Hopefully many more trips with this tent.
I am disappointed in this tent. I bought brand new off Coleman webpage and spent a lot of money. It has pin holes on one side of the rain cover
I've been tent camping for 40years. Best the ever
I could not sleep well because it was so cold inside at night with 50°F outside. Cold wind came inside from the gap between the tent's bottom part and the rainfly. If the end of the rainfly reached the ground, the gap might not have been big, keeping me from the cold wind invasion. But as you can see, the Coleman logo-printed rainfly part does not meet the ground. Was I wrong in setting up the tent? Everything I was fully satisfied. However, I did not experience the benefits of the Darkroom function because I could not sleep long due to the cold.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent was super easy to set up. The poles are sturdy and strong. Storage bag attachment is helpful and ensures that I won't lose it. It's nice to stand up without having to be hunched over. It provided enough space for my family of five that we weren't on top of each other. While the bottom is comfortable and waterproof, and can be set up in a variety of places, we had padding to ensure comfort. It will also support an air mattress. The windows open enough that it provides air to flow through so it doesn't feel hot or stuffy. We haven't used it during rain but we have used it during the drizzle and it kept everything inside dry.
I really love this Colman skydom tent. But it has one major drawback for me. The setup is incredibly easy, which is a huge plus when you're at the campsite, the materials are durable, and the ground sheet feels solid. However, the space and height are where I struggle, even though I am only 5 feet 1.I still have to bend my head down to walk inside.Which is very painful because of my existing back and neck issues. My husband has the same problem. The poles and capacity are great for a group but I really wish the center height was taller. So we wouldn't have to hunch over if you have backed problems or need to stand fully upright, you might want to look at a taller model. But if you don't mind the lower ceiling, it's a high quality.Beautiful tent.
