Smartwool  Active Mesh Hoodie - Men's

I now own a couple of these and love them. They're great for hiking & backpacking - they keep the sun off, they're breathable, and even when they get sweaty on hot days they dry quickly. They're also a great base layer when you need the warmth. I recently wore the same shirt for three days backpacking, and it didn't smell anywhere near as badly as it probably should have. Highly recommend.

I own a lot of Smartwool base layers because Smartwool consistently produces high quality clothing that fits me well. I wear wool year-round because wool just performs better and doesn't stink like synthetics. I bought this for hiking and sun protection. The mesh material on this hoodie feels amazing. Sizing is consistent with other smartwool stuff. I am 6'2", 180lbs and wear size large.

This quickly became one of my favorite layering pieces. The fabric feels soft against the skin while staying light and breathable, making it comfortable for everything from hikes to everyday wear. The quality is excellent. Well-constructed and durable. The fit is spot-on: athletic without feeling restrictive, with enough stretch for easy movement. If you're looking for a versatile hoodie, then look no further.

Terrible fit. I'm 6'3" with an athletic 240lb build. All the reviews said this runs very long. I usually wear a large tall so I figured I'd get a large (especially since the model is 6' and wearing a medium). Boy was that the wrong decision! The sizing on REI doesn't state the length (nor does the smartwool site which is nuts) but the back length on a large is only 28", which is crazy short! It looked like I was wearing a midriff! If I sized up, then I'd end up with a shirt way too lose in the waist and who knows how much length I'd gain. So yeah, total failure for this product.

This is the perfect lightweight yet warm layer. For spring hiking, it has been wonderful. My only complaint is that the color posted, Dusty Teal, actually has no blue in it at all. It's actually a pine green.

Great breathable hoodie with versatility in the gym and/or for everyday wear. I highly recommend this hoodie for anyone looking for a comfortable and breathable garment.

This a comfortable, well designed shirt that allows air to pass while protecting you from the sun, so surprising pleasant to wear on even hot, sunny days.

Exactly what I was hoping for. Very lightweight, very simple, very good sun protection. It has held up flawlessly after about a dozen washes.

The top is great; lightweight and comfortable and perfect for cool mornings, spring, summer and fall, maybe winter for layering.
