Great fit and feel

I agree with others that you may want to size up. I'm somewhere between a small and medium depending on the brand (some smalls are too small, some mediums are too big), and the medium is a nice sporty fit on me (not loose but also not tight). I really like the feel of the fabric, I had a 100% merino shirt from another company and it was a little bit hot and itchy at times. This shirt is more like the middle ground between merino and a cool shirt.

Best Running Shirt

This is my third Icebreaker t-shirt. I'm a runner and these shirts are perfect for warm weather running. Besides the obvious benefits of wool, like no odor (allows several runs before washing), and excellent sweat wicking, but they are also soft. If you're a man and wear the typical polyester tech shirt, you are prone to nipple chafing from a polyester shirt on long, warm weather runs. Even mitigation actions like lubricants on the nipple do not fully work. But wool is so soft, I've never chafed a nipple since wearing them. These are my preferred running shirts. And... I love the "molten" color.

Good but possibly not quite as good as the older Spheres

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a couple of the original Spheres and they are still going string after years of use. This new one is different in a couple of areas. I measured the weight of it to be 25% heavier (~5.2oz compared to ~4.1oz). Hopefully this means it'll be more durable, even though the original didn't have durability problems. Gotta have some benefit for the extra weight, though. The stitching also seems to possibly be of a bit lower quality and/or accuracy. The side stitching is not nearly as symmetrical as in the original. The collar seems a little bit strange as well. I haven't worn it enough though to get a long-term impression. Currently though, despite the stitching oddities, it seems like it's still a great shirt.

The Holey Shirt

Small holes started appearing all over after a couple months. Now it's relegated to being a sleeping shirt when I'm by myself. The tag/ label on the side is also very scratchy. Overall bad durability and value.

Very comfortable, got holes one 2nd wear

Really loved this shirt. Super comfortable for hiking and travel. Unfortunately wore it 3 time ls (washes once) and it has several small holes.

Great shirt, be careful with the yellow color.

I love the short as a whole. However, since these are very thin, the yellow is a bit see-through.

Love the material but not made for long torsos

Haven't worn this besides initial try-on so can't comment on long term experience, but the fabric feels nice and soft and light without being too thin. My main comment is that this is NOT made for people with long torsos. Having extra large arms, shoulder, and neck I'm used to shirts being tight in the pits and neck. However I'm not used to feeling like a teenage girl wearing a midriff every time I lift my arms. Feel free to size up but I doubt it makes the cut much longer. 6'2" 215 lbs ordered an XL in Lichen

Overwhelming smell of harmful chemicals

Once I opened the package and took the shirt out I will immediately overwhelmed with a smell of alarming chemicals. I could only wear the shirt for a short while before taking it off due to skin irritation and headache and sinus aches it was giving me. I know that many companies now spray their clothing with harmful chemicals for some purpose and have been aware of that. I will not be wearing this shirt again. I am disappointed but surprised given how big of a company icebreakers is.

I love Icebreaker products and I love the lightweight, quick-drying properties of this shirt, but the torso is just a little short for an XL. I think this should be at least an inch longer. However, if your torso is short or you're under 6' tall, this might work perfectly for you. One other nitpick is the wad of tags on Icebreaker products I always have to hack off. Do there really need to be that many tags??

Amazing shirts!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been an Icebreaker convert for about 10 years now, having made the switch from Smartwool due to poor product quality. I am continually impressed by how well these shirts maintain their shape, are extremely durable (some shirts I have owned for 7+ years now with weekly use), and the breathability and warmth they provide is outstanding. Strongly recommend
