Excellent Choice for MTB
I purchased this hoodie for mountain biking in cool, windy weather. It sheds heat well while insulating just enough to keep me comfortable during periods of sweaty aerobic exertion. The stretchy fabric moves with me as a ride and the outer face has proven to be abrasion and wind resistant. Good stuff!

Nice Jacket but too Slim
I am a medium and I have several Patagonia sweaters and they fit fine, but the fit was too slim for me. I really love the jacket but unfortunately I had to return it
All The Best Features For Layering Except Warmth
I’ve tried the Patagonia R1 Air full zip hoodie (L 2024 version), the R2 Techface Jacket 2025 version, then settled on the R1 Techface jacket, L 2025 version. The pockets are a good size and the chest pocket easily holds an iPhone 17 Pro. The design is more functional, the hood is roomy and it fits me better. The only drawback is that it’s not as warm on its own. Not an issue with a decent layer underneath and an insulated vest on top. So far, so good!
Birthday Gift for 94-Year-Old Dad!
Good looking, lightweight and breathable but a great windbreaker and light rain jacket. Perfect jacket for my Dad, who loves all the pockets. Purchased a size larger than he normally wears to give him plenty of room to use the jacket over a sweater.
