Rugged, Effective, and an Amazing Color
I had to send in my M20 v1 due to the recall and I waited for the new version to be available so I would not be without it long. By far our most used soft cooler for every from beach/waterpark days to quick trips to a carryon. We carried out v1 to HI for a nine day trip and it was just small enough to fit under the seat as a personal item. So nice to have a cooler for everyday use! Pro tip: Yeti Ice (or other frozen solid packs) can be carried on US Domestic (not sure about international) flights to keep sandwiches and snacks cool. Love the new color and we look forward to many many more years of use!

Worked perfectly, water tight, tough as nails.
I purchased my Hopper M20 for a 3-day canoe trip. It was outstanding. My friend was completely sold on it as well. With very little ice, it kept everything cold for 3 days in the sun. It was perfect for this trip, and would be perfect for any day or multi-day hike, beach trip, adventure, etc. It even fell in the river at one point and zero water got inside. It's also extremely sturdy, which I like, as we do things that would cause most products to rip or get damaged. I found the magnet opening to be very convenient. I never had the other backpack cooler product some are talking about, but was completely impressed by the M20 Hopper.
Spacious, sturdy and great build quality
Top notch build quality. The material is solid and sturdy. Larger than expected, but the opening is a bit narrow so tough to poor a bag of ice without some spillage. Ice cubes stayed cold overnight and kept our drinks nice and chilled. Very excited that I was able to grab this bag while it was on sale. Love the color..pricey but happy overall with the quality. Should last a very very long time. Great investment for future beach trip outings and when we have snacks and drinks duty for our sons club ball soccer team.
Performs but not ideal
I really wanted something as reliable as my roadie yet lighter and more convenient for day trips. The color is beautiful and the weight seems doable even when packed as long as you’re carrying it on your back. It keep things cold for an extended amount of time for a soft sided cooler. My issue is the depth of the cooler vs the width of the opening. Is very difficult to pack and retrieve things in your cooler while trying to hold open such a narrow opening. The magnets are very strong, which is excellent for cold retention, yet makes the opening very inflexible. I also wish they had incorporated a dry pocket to carry small items on the outside (there isn’t even a place to carry the chest strap when not in use). And I don’t think in this price range, the consumer should have to purchase additional items to get the best use from a product.
Remember, it is just a cooler
First and foremost the ammonia smell of this cooler is absolutely the strongest of any product I’ve ever purchase. After letting it air out a week, it is still here. That said, it is a high quality cooler. The foam to keep the cooler cool is rather thin making this a single day cooler. By the time I bought the sidekick front pocket for the cooler, it is half the price of an iPhone. Can’t really justify the price.
Keeping drinks cold in México
A must have when living in México. Life has been much cooler with this Yeti cooler! The ice even in México will still be there the next day after a beach day. My drinks are always cold and the backpack makes it easy to get around even when filled to the top. Honestly every time I visit the US I’m always bringing back more Yeti products for myself and always have on hand for gifts for my friends.
Wife Loves This Thing
I loved my R24 but my wife hated it, it’s too heavy for her when it’s full and she has a day at the beach planned with our 4 year old. The solution was a soft cooler. We looked at the backflip and this one…and this one was the clear winner purely based on the ease of getting in and out for her and our daughter. Wife struggled with the zipper on the soft coolers and it wasn’t even an option for our daughter. The magnet is great, both can easily open and shut it to get things out and while it doesn’t keep things as cold for as long as the R24 it is certainly sufficient for the day at the beach with plenty of opening and closing (when it’s pre-chilled properly). The pink color is a hit with them and the sidekick is a great add on for sunscreen, keys, and her phone. It’s a pricey investment but for the ease of use, yeti quality, and usability it’s a great purchase that I think they’ll enjoy for a long time.
YETI Hopper M20
The YETI Hopper M20 is quick for on the go travel. It’s simple to pack and easy to haul around for that quick trip to the beach, ball fields, etc. I typically line the back potion of the inside area with 2 large YETI ice packs, and double stack drinks on the front portion. It gets me through the day on those quick travel trips.
