I wore these pants daily during my 2650 mile Pacific Crest Trail hike and they did not disappoint. I hiked through thorny desert areas, water crossings, and snow, and these pants continued to deliver. They never showed signs of wear on the five month trip with daily use and they dry extremely quickly. I highly recommend these pants for comfort and durability. I am 5’7, 130 lbs, and I went with a medium. They have a drawstring waist, which worked great during weight loss on the trail. Patagonia, you made a lifelong customer out of me.
These hiking pants fit well and were comfortable the entire hike - no complaints there. The real stress test came afterward on the beach with a post-hike wine-cheers, right as I spotted a hot guy nearby and suddenly became aware of my entire existence. Naturally, I then proceeded to spill red wine directly on my nether region. Because if there’s a worst possible timing award, I was clearly nominated. The good news: the pants did not betray me! The wine just beaded off like it had respect for my dignity, and I did not walk away looking like I had made a very questionable life decision in public. Honestly, the pants performed better under pressure than I did!
Like these a lot! Pros: Soft, stretchy, lightweight, quiet fabric, quick drying, wicking, high recycled content, Don't love the shallow thigh pockets but I did use them to hold my older/iphone during non-vigorous movements because I wasn't confident the phone would stay put. Don't think the elastic cuffs are that attractive but helpful to pull up legs when temps got warmer. Very confortable travel and warm weather hiking pants; relaxed fit enough to layer tights underneath for extra warm when needed. Overall, happy with these. Fits TTS, XS for 26"waist 34" hips.
Everything about these pants are perfect! This is the most comfortable, best fitting pants I have ever owned and I purchased 2 pairs. I am looking to purchase 2 more! The pants are the perfect rise (mid rise) adjustable waistband so if you gain or lose 10 pounds, they will still fit! They are breathable, comfortable with the perfect length and stretch. I have bought numerous hiking pants and none even come close! I can't stress enough how perfect and comfortable these pants are! A++
Patagonia’s Quandary Joggers are a great choice, whether your on the trail, in the water or for everyday use. while I normally do not purchase the “jogger” style pants, I love this feature as I don’t have to worry about mopping up the floor with them. I also love the relaxed-light feel, extra pockets and elastic waistband offered by these pants. As a plus size individual, it is often difficult to find hiking or outdoor clothing that meets my needs. I am extra appreciative of Patagonia’s plus size offering in these pants (as well as others in their lineup) and the fact that REI carries them!
These are comfy even with multi-day use hiking that I decided to buy another pair just for traveling.
These look nice on. I prefer last yrs curry color to the blase beige tone. The problem is the zip pockets are mostly useless. I'd rather put my phone in that pocket so it isn't in my front upper pocket jamming my hip bone! Make a deep zip pocket for the phone!! In fact, stick it on the outside of the thigh and you'll have a winner.
This is my second pair of Quandary Joggers. They may be my favorite hiking pants ever--good length, comfortable and adjustable waist, lots of functional pockets. Please keep carrying them!
Great pants. I bought a second color. Lightweight but very comfortable and can go from hiking to casual wear. Highly recommend. Fit true to size.
