Super comfortable shorts for active kids
I got a Small size for my 8-year-old who is currently right in between XS and S; these fit true-to-size, comfortable but with room to grow. She’s been using them consistently for over 3 weeks now for school, home, and play outside, and they’re not showing even a hint of wear. She loves them- the color, fit, comfort, and versatility. They work both over leggings and on their own. The pockets are extremely usable, including two deep mesh-lined side pockets and a zipping rear pocket. The only minor quibble with them is there is not a full mesh liner, which my spouse would prefer given the short length on these. Overall, I would grab these again in a heartbeat. Pros- Good color (greyish blue) Comfortable- soft fabric, smooth seams Well-built Big, versatile pockets (3 including rear zip) True to size Good length Possible Cons- No mesh liner
Super versatile shorts for kids
My 14-year old daughter has been using the Mountainmaker Shorts for a number of different purposes - running, hiking, etc. She loves the fit, the fabric and, most of all, the pockets! She says they are incredibly comfortable and really appreciates the pockets that a lot of shorts created specifically for running do not have. The fabric also seems to be high quality so I believe they'll last quite a long time.
Comfy, good quality camp shorts
These blue Co-op Mountainmaker shorts are well-made and appear they will last through good camping seasons and hikes. The elastic waistband keeps the shorts in place without falling down. My daughter found them to fit a little big and longish but said they were comfy. She likes the color as well and likes that they match her REI camp shoes. Her likes: *soft material *comfortable to wear Her pinch points: *Too baggy *A little longer than she likes
Great, Durable Everyday Shorts for Kids!
My daughter has worn these shorts on a few occasions now- hiking, to the beach, playing baseball at home etc. We love them! For her, they are very comfortable, they stay dry and she especially loves the pocket. She used it to hold some shells she found while we were walking on the beach. It would not be big enough for a larger device such as a phone but we don’t need to worry about that for a while, so it is perfect for us. The length of the M is right on for my 54” tall daughter and I appreciate the drawstring to help cinch them tighter on her waist. She tends to run on the slimmer side so the drawstring will help us get some extended wear out of the shorts. Since we’ve worn them on a few occasions, we’ve also put them through the wash a few times. The color is still vibrantly purple with no signs of wear and tear or fraying. I would definitely buy them in other colors or in other sizes for my younger children!
The perfect short for the typical boy!
Great for everything! These have a stretchy quick drying material that make them great for everyday wear and a perfect choice for outdoor activities! The construction is highly quality and the zip pocket in the rear help prevent the days treasure finds from getting lost before you get home. I have no complaints.
Active shorts with “adjustable” waist
Good material but size not accurate, too large although my daughter still wears it. The tie is makes it possible to wear, even though too big. Big is in… so she’s happy. And good length, not to short.
Really wanted to love these!!
I love the color, look and potential functionality of these little shorts. We bought these for our 4 year old son and have been disappointed with how they've held up. After just 3 weeks of regular wear and play the backside has a lot of pilling. We were really excited about these but ultimately were a little bummed with the product.
Great daily short
The material on these shorts is very light and breathable. The pockets are meshed which is nice when my daughter decides to jump in the rivers near our house. She loves these shorts and is very happy to wear them to school for her gym class. The length on these shorts I feel is the right length for a little girl, as it does not ride up like some other shorts. I highly recommend these shorts to anyone looking for a good daily short for their children.
Great fit! Nice proportions for young child
My three-year-old boy LOVES these shorts! The three pockets and soft, quick-dry fabric are a big hit! I'm back to buy a second pair. He's about 35 lbs and wears XXS with a little room to grow.
