We have loved these rain pants! They are true to size and fit my 3 year old perfectly. I love that they are adjustable in the waist thanks to an elastic band and buttons. They also have a non-slip rubber inside of the ankles, which are also adjustable via velcro. They are lightweight and fold up tiny. These pants feel durable and high quality. I think these could be used year round to keep dry. We actually used them over other warm layers to play in the snow and they kept my toddler totally dry. Another huge perk to using them this way is my daughter had full leg mobility verses being unable to bend her legs in a stiff snow suit. Big fan!
Great adjustability in the waist band for those of us with smaller waisted children. I do wish the boot cuffs had more stretch to make it easier to get over the childs boots. I will be watching to see how well they last, especially in the knee area with a kid who likes to be on the ground a lot.
I received this product from REI in exchange for my honest review. I have a very tall and slender 3 year old. She is in between 3T and 4T in sizes, depending on the brand. Got these rain pants in 4T. The pants are plenty long on her and seem to fit true to size. Performance is good so far. We’ve taken them outside a few times and they’ve kept her dry jumping in puddles and walking through a drizzle. My favorite features are the Velcro cuffs at the ankle which makes it easy to fit snug with rain boots and the clever button system on the waistband, which allows plenty of room to adjust for size as your child grows. These pants are lightweight and easy to throw in a backpack ‘just in case’. Would recommend them.
These pants were perfect to slide over my toddler son’s sweatpants in the rain and snow. As they are very thin, I had to layer them with sweatpants to head out into the cold. They were extremely water resistant and the Velcro tightened at the bottoms of the pants made sure he stayed dry. I do recommend sizing up for the layering aspect if you are in colder climate. My son is usually in 2T but he wears a 3T in these.
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. My daughter is a tad on the small size, so these were big on her. They are probably true to size even though they were big on her. They were great for water resistance and easy to get on/off. The ankles are velcroed which was great so I could make them tighter on her ankles to keep water out and to keep them from falling down. If taking baby out in the rain or in the snow with some warm pants underneath, these are a great buy.
This product is well built and they thought of a lot of helpful features. The adjustable elastic waste-band and cuffs are a huge help. The 2Ts are a little bit roomy for my youngster, but the fabric is light enough that I could put a base layer on him for cooler/rainy days. These pants kept the base layer dry and shed water as advertised.
Tested out this product with my 20 month baby, looked big on them, didn't know there was a difference between 24 months and a 2 T (Toddler). None the less, they performed excellent. Kept my kid's legs dry. Very lightweight and compact, so you can have them at the ready. Overall happy with the product, Wish I got the matching jacket to go with it. =)
