Great colour and style.
Just received today. Excellent quality and looks like it will keep me warm in the cooler weather. I ordered XL, I'm a 42" chess. The fit was a little more snug than I expected.
Poor fit.
The sleeves were appropriately long, but the torso was closer to a halter top - the front did not come down to top of my riding shorts. I ordered a Large - I'm 5'9" x 175 lbs.
Short torso
For reference i am 6’2” 215 lbs minimal fat. Big biy for cycling. Usually use XL in other brands (even european). The XL rapha core long sleeve was extremely short in the torso and the arms are more of a relaxed fit and not so stretchy. Riding in 60 degree wind before dawn this was roasting hot, very thick material probably great for <50 degree weather. Will keep it for cold days since i already used it on a ride but not very happy (first venture into rapha and i ordered a core jersey in short sleeve that im returning since the torso length is for max 6’.
Way too small
Horrible sizing on these. XL is like smaller than a Medium.
Great Jersey, Size Seems to Run Smaller
Love it, including the extra zipper pocket on the back. As other reviewer stated, runs smaller than expected. I am a medium in everything but the medium fit like a torso compression sock, uncomfortably tight.
Even too small for a woman
I bougth this in a large, as that is what my husband wears. It was too small to even come together. I exchanged for an XL and while he could zip it, it was way too tight and hardly covered the waistband of his pants. Only the sleeve length would have worked. I tried another Rapha style...same problem. The bright blue is beautiful, the fabric is a great weight for cooler rides, but only the tiniest men could fit in the largest sizes. Serious sizing problem.
Solid Performer for Cooler Weather
Had been looking for less-bulky jerseys for use on cooler rides. This jersey certainly fits that use case quite well. This is well-fitting, and find it can be worn without other layers on brisk rides down into 40-degree weather. Very well made, with fabric that's quick drying. Pockets on back have enough space for even larger mobile phones, and allow for easy access.
Not quite right
I liked the material and color, but the fit wasn't quite right. Pockets were too high on the back and sleeves were a tad too short. Rapha's short sleeve core jerseys are great, but I ended up returning this one. I wish I liked it more. Big fan of Rapha bibs and core jerseys, but this one was a miss for me.
Rapha Core L/S
I tried this on in the store. I would describe it as a good quality stretchy lightweight thermal jersey. I typically wear a M (5'8" 145), and I would say this jersey in M is quite slim fitting, possibly too much so. There's no way I could wear even the thinnest layer under it, but that's ok. Some of my cool weather L/S jerseys fit like that. I didn't see any of the problems others have mentioned, such as torso or arm length. I found those proportions to be pretty normal in this M size. There was no L size to try on for comparison, and I might very well have taken the brown jersey in M at the reduced price, but for me, the rear pockets were a deal breaker. I could hardly locate the nearest pocket, much less hope to access them while riding. I've encountered this before and it's simply unacceptable for someone who frequently does 3-4hr rides and relies on those pockets for fueling, etc. Maybe less of a problem in a looser fitting size, or maybe there is something to the notion of the torso not ending up where it should, but I found the pocket placement to be too drastic to bother with. I passed.
