Perfect Addition to Winter Trail Hiking
I absolutely love these boots. They are very comfortable and warm. They have a little extra room when I ordered my size but would be great for a thicker pair of socks. My feet are always cold in the winter so these are perfect. The built in studs seem very durable and making trekking on/near ice very dependable. You can’t even tell you’re on ice. No slipping at all. Perfect for areas where you live where it snows and you want to stay safe on the trail. Would even be great for ice fishing!
Quality, comfortable, stylish boots
These are lovely. Very clearly well-made, with quality materials and thoughtful details -- the pulls on the zippers and the loops to help pull on the boots in particular drew my attention as being able to stand up to heavy wear and tear. High quality stitching, and the material on the bottom of the boot is sturdy without being too heavy. The steel tip studs on the bottom provide great traction -- obviously, not for walking around indoors (or risk scratching your floors!). The fit is a bit big, especially in the toe box, but it didn't feel like my foot was "sloshing" around in there -- feet were sturdy and stable with a variety of sock thicknesses. Heat/traction with snow: haven't been able to test yet, as it's only September in Wisconsin. Will update my review once the snow flies! As for the look: these are very, very cute. I'm embarrassed by how excited I am to wear these this winter.

I received this products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I fell in love with them when I saw the built in slip/fall protection in the soles. I hike all winter with a group in their 60’s and 70’s and we have to remember to always bring our removable “spikes” to avoid any accidents on patches of snow and ice here on Minnesota trails. Removable ones are hard to get on and keep them on throughout the hike. We’ve had many a missing pair on our hikes! Even parking lots can be a hazard during our lengthy winter snow season. They are surprisingly easy to get in and out of and are roomy even with wool socks on! I’m excited to test them out on the trails for their water repellency and the slush guards which my other boots don’t have. Nothing worse than wet cold toes on a hike. The insoles are a nice thick wool to help prevent the cold transfer from the ground through the soles to your feet! My feet seem the first to be uncomfortable on a winter hike. They are very stylish and built well for rugged wear. Soles are nice and sturdy. That the company is climate neutral and gives back 1% for the planet is a definite plus. My only potential concern is how warm the boots will be in well below zero temps we have come Jan-March but as I mentioned above, I’m hoping the thick wool insole prevents a lot of the cold infiltration to my feet! So though it is not quite frigid and snowy here in the north country, very much look forward to testing out the anti slip carbide tips as well the keeping my toes toasty warm!
Light, safe, and stylish
These have got to be the best looking and most functional studded shoes that I've seen in the casual category. They are shockingly lightweight, I think substantially lighter than my Icebug running shoes from a few years ago. And they look great with just about anything. Ice hasn't arrived yet here in Alaska, but it will soon, and these will be my go-to dog walkers. I love that the zipper makes it so you don't have to wrestle to get your foot in, and these are also lined with a fuzzy fleece for warmth. I feel like the studs are also less noisy than most studs I've seen before. A+ for comfort too!
Cute and practical
I would say these are Blundstone adjacent, with a more durable look and feel. They're definitely roomy, maybe up to 1/2 size big. But I'm going to keep them large for thick socks. Not much arch support (but with the roominess, there would be plenty of space for an insole). Easy to slip on and off with the zipper. There's some fleecy lining around the ankle. And of course, the grip seems extremely good for ice! I'm excited to wear them all winter.

i received this product from REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. it was sent to me in september which did not yield any snow in colorado. these boots will work great in the winter when there are icy conditions. these boots feel slightly larger than expected; or true to size. i usually wear 7-7.5 in boots and these fit well with room for a thick sock. i LOVE the mini cleats! there's also a zipper which makes putting on and removing the boots do easy. i have a pair of rubber chelsea (shearling lined) boots that are such a pain to remove since there is only the elastic on the ankle without a zipper. these are comfortable as well. my foot is average to narrow. however there is no arch support but it's not a problem for me (being flat footed) i wouldn't hike anything moderate to hard in these. i'd prefer a lace up boot, but for casual walking or making errands, these will work well when it's icy
