I’m 6’2” and 195 lbs and like something that is truly all mountain but has pop and playfulness. This is the ski. While my weight is ideal for something stiffer, these skis hold a great edge and ride very well. Great maneuverability and light weight for moguls and trees and still solid edges for carving and ripping down the mountain. I was humming with next to no chatter.
My background: Been skiing for 18 years. Been able to ride switch and do 360s for 16 years. I thought I had the greatest freestyle Ski ever made (2013 K2 Kung Fujas by Pep Fujas) until I found the Nordica Unleashed 98s. The first thing I did when I got the Nordica Unleashed 98s was to put them side-by-side with my K2 Kung Fujas and to my happy surprise the shape was nearly IDENTICAL!!! Once I got to the mountain the differences were for the better. I'm a heavier skier and I was able to carve very fast and point them downhill and GO!!! I felt absolutely no chatter none. I took them as fast as I could and saw zero chatter. The CARVING...OH THE CARVING. You see, I absolutely love twin tip skis. I always thought I'd never be able to carve it up. Because honestly, between a fun pair of freestyle twin-tip skis and a carving Ski? I chose free-style twin-tips every single time. So I thought my deep carving days were over. But these Nordica Unleashed 98s were just a absolute blast! I started carving again while also retaining my twin-tip freestyle fun. I just can't believe how good these twin-tips can carve. If you're a heavier skier (I'm 250lbs), or a skier who wants to go fast and carve it up, while still retaining twin-tips, the Nordica Unleashed 98s are the answer. I think the terrain specific metal is what sets the Unleashed 98s apart from other twin tips. Love my 186cm Nordica Unleashed 98s.
