Keen Comfort!

The footbed for Keens fit me perfectly. I found out recently the 42 size was crunching my toes a little. I was glad to see that Steen's came in a 43 so bought them. My only concern is the tongue is a bit short so that the top lace rides right near the end of the tongue, which gave me pause with the . I would have made it a wee bit longer or had the tongue be made of just leather and not padded. I have been wearing them for a week now, and the comfort is great, and only occasional issues with the laces slipping past the end of the tongue onto my leg or untying. I would recommend them to a friend because keens are comfortable and excellent quality, but with caveat of the short stuffed tongue situation.

Might be my last pair of Keens

I ordered my first Keen shoes from Title 9 about 15 years ago. Probably have had 20 pair over that time. I ordered a pair of the Steen shoes for spring. While they look like my old friends superficiality, they are not even close. The rubber toe piece is about half the size. The tongue is very short, barely extending to the opening of the shoe. That, combined with a strange plastic insert in the upper lace loop means the laces slip behind the tongue and onto the top of my foot! This may well be the last pair of this brand I will ever purchase.

Odd Fitting yet Good Looking Shoe

Really good looking shoe, good traction, stable and cushioned well, good roomy toe box. But an odd fit and causing pain and pressure at top of inside of shoe at the inside of my ankle. Don't know if there is a lack of cushioning there or if shoe is just oddly sized, haven't experienced this before in other Keens or other hikers. The ankle is also quite wide and lacking in cushioning on the inside, the type and quality of cushioning usually found inside of ankle at top of shoe. So looks good, heel and toes are comfy, but slips and hurts.

Better than competitors, not as good as boots

So I wanted an alternative to my two pairs of Keen hiking boots. The shoes are not as roomy in the toe box as the boots. They also lack the padding under the foot that I associate with Keens. I have to use a plastic toe cap on my fourth toe to keep from blistering, and that with a very thin sock, is all I can get into the shoe and it is very tight. I guess I will have to try a size 12 to get the room I need -- two sizes up. Still, I love Keen compared to all the other shoes I have invested my time and money on.

Thank you for sharing this feedback with us! It sounds like you may benefit from a different style. We recommend taking a look at the Targhee II for a higher-volume fit.

Buy these now! Size 9

This is my first pair of Keens and it will not be my last. They are extremely comfortable, true street size fit, roomy toe area, with great arch support. No break in time needed.

narrow compared to other models

So excited to try these and ordered a size 8. Great looking shoe, love the fit at the ankle. Just too narrow, unlike my other 6 pairs of Keens. The return process was easy, customer service awesome. So disappointed though because Keens are my go to shoe and their competitors just don’t measure up. Can’t find another waterproof low hiker so guess I will will be wearing my Pyrenees for hiking this summer.

Very good hiking shoe

I love these. I have bought 3 pair of keen boot/shoes and these are my 4th. I wanted a pair of water proof hiking for the summer that were low tops and lighter in color. I was hesitant reading the comments but so glad to have gotten these. They fit well and lot's of room in the toe box. I have wide feet. To get the correct size, I measured my foot and looked at the size chart. They all fit perfectly.

Attractive, sturdy with narrow heel

I have put a hole in two sets of fairly expensive running shoes I wear for caregiving. My heels are narrow but I have a bunion on my left foot, and use orthotics for pronation. This pair of Keen's are a great fit, the orthotics slid right in and didn't take too much room, and the leather top will prevent me eventually wearing a hole through the breathable fabric on other shoes. I'm thrilled!

Just incredible!

These fit me perfectly from the moment they came out of the box -- amazingly no break-in time required. I have slightly narrow feet with arches that need support and these are perfect. I have spent all day on them for several days in a row and my feet are happy at the end of the day! Thank you for such a great product! Comfy feet make all the difference! I'm glad I found you!

Great boot

Great boot. Super comfortable, esp. with the wider toe box. Only issue (not a deal breaker)..... Need to make the tongue a bit longer so that once the shoe lace goes through the eyelet at the top, the actual tied knot stays on the tongue itself; it tends to ride up over the top of the tongue. I noticed another reviewer had the same comment.
