Salomon Strive 12 GW Ski Bindings
Looking for more power and control? Shorter response time? The Salomon Strive 12 GW ski bindings lower your center of gravity so you feel every aspect of the terrain and get more out for your skis.
- LDN low-profile toe pieces create a low center of gravity, providing excellent ski-to-snow connectivity; enhanced sensitivity means quicker reaction and heightened control
- Extra-wide toe pedals (>60 mm) ensure excellent lateral power transmission from skier to skis; they're designed for intense freeskiing, more stability and enhanced confidence
- Wide 72 mm AFD pads give skiers extra contact between boots and bindings, adding stability and increasing power transfer from the bindings to the skis
- 47 mm of elasticity builds confidence and security at speed
- Automatic wing and toe adjustments adapt the wings and toe height to your boots, no manual adjustments needed

Great binding
I bought these and find that they are easy to put on. They look great too.
Sliding toe plate malfunction
I'm skiing these binding with new K2 revolver grip walk boots. The sliding toe pedal consistently slides out on both skis and doesn't retract. The toe of the boots doesn't mate to the binding completely so the sliding toe pedal on the bindings are not in complete contact. I'm an expert fast skier and I'm concerned the defect may cause the binding to not release if I fall.

Strive bindings
I really like how easy these bindings are to get into. The toe piece especially. I've been skiing over 60 years, 35 in Jackson, and can recommend these. Also I trust the safety of these bindings, and like the light weight.
Brake on new binding failed, down a binding & ski
I have been skiing for years, but always renting. I decided this year to buy my first complete set up. I chose to go with Salomon. I picked up a pair of Stance 96 skis - 2023 (182), S/PRO MV 100 boots, Strive 12 Gripwalk bindings and Arctic S3 poles. I took them out the first time, on what ended up being very icy conditions. The equipment performed great and I was very pleased. A few weeks later I was skiing Jackson Hole. Skied all over the mountain taking on a variety of difficulties. No equipment issues. Then, on what turned out to be my last run of the day, I fell. Both skis came off. The brake on my right ski engaged, the brake on my left ski did not. The last I saw my left ski, it was racing down "Sundance". I ended up walking down the rest of the run looking for my ski, but never found it. I understand that sometimes these things happen, but I'm very disappointed that it happened on just my second day of use. Now I am back to renting for the remainder of the season. I will buy another set for next year, just not sure what brand I'm going to go with.
