Great tires that don't last long
The tires are great - road traction was never an issue, even on wet surfaces - The ride felt great - They seem to be good for avoiding flats There is one major downside - longevity. They lasted less than a season (2300 miles). I know that is a lot, but I had tires (Vittoria, Specialized, continental) that lasted over 4000 miles without issues. Additionally, the failure of these when they wear is catastrophic (see image). Other tires tend to lose grip over time until it is time to replace. Quick search after seeing my tire peel showed that this is a common failure type for the tires. In summary - if you are looking for good performance tires and willing to replace them frequently, these are great. If you are looking for longer lifetime then these are not for you.

Great experience with these tyres, and I needed a replacement for one. Great that REI had them available, because it's getting challenging finding them at my LBS .
