Great for Spin Class

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these. This is my second pair (I previously had the Shimano XC5 Mountain Bike Shoes in a women's cut and they were too small. I only use these for spin classes, and they're amazingly light so my feet can breath. I wear a 9.5 in women's shoes, so I followed the size guide and ordered a 42. These were a tad wide (assumed so as its a "unisex" shoe), but because i have a 1/2 sized foot, I figured it's fine and a 41 would have been too small. Also, I ordered the Wine Red color, it is much darker in person than what is displayed in the picture.

Well fitting with a fatal flaw.

This shoe fits true to size. The upper is comfortable. Boa system tightens well and holds firmly to shoe. What made me return the shoe is that the structure of the sole between the cleat attachment and insole is so flimsy that you end up having a very uncomfortable bulge Right where you put the most pressure when cycling. It felt like there was a rock in my shoe the entire time.

VERY comfortable, true to size

I bought these because I wanted a lightweight shoe for riding outdoors. The upper is a soft, flexible mesh that doesn't bother my bunion. They are true to size - I wear a 46 and these were spot on. The fit is snug but the toe box is comfortable. I've owned other Shimano shoes and they are VERY durable so I'm not concerned about using them outside. The sole is a very grippy rubber. It wasn't designed for outdoors so it doesn't have lugs, but that didn't matter to me.

Runs small

I'm typically a 40, and the 40 was at least 2 sizes to small for me. They also felt a little hard/shell-like, which didn't seem like it would be good/comfortable for my feet. Maybe with a proper fit, they would mold to the foot. I do like Shimano and would give these a chance in a larger size.
