XTRATUF  Vintage 6" Ankle Deck Boots - Women's

I went in-store to try to buy these but they were not available in my size 7. I tried an 8 on in-store, because I’m actually a 7.5 but these don’t come in half sizes. The 8 was too big. I also tried a 6 just to see, and I couldn’t even get my foot into it. I decided to order the 7 online, and when it came in, they were just as big (if not bigger) than the 8’s I tried on in-store! I then decided to go to a different store locally and try on their size 7’s in the same style and color and they fit like a glove! Something is really off with the sizing that REI is sending! Both size 7’s I tried on were labeled exactly the same. I recommend trying to buy these in person rather than ordering online.

Moved to PNW this summer, thinking my existing footwear would do OK in the rain. Well, the joke's on me, so I went out to the closest REI to see what was on offer. The store I visited had very few options but because I was somewhat desperate, I took a chance on a pair of these in the 'Vintage Sage' colorway...and whew! Comfortable right out of the box and after multiple days of walking around in drizzle and up and down muddy city blocks. Probably not the galoshes or heavy use type, but good enough for daily use in town -- I've been wearing my pair pretty much every day for the last few weeks. May be advisable to wear thick(er) socks as this particular model isn't insulated. For reference, I wear US women's 7.5/8 and got these in the 8.

I got the Salmon Sisters 15" Legacy Boot years ago to wear almost daily on my farm and I have loved them. But I wanted a shorter, and hopefully cooler, boot to wear during the summer. I was worried about the durability based on some reviews but so far, so good. My main complaint is that my foot is a half size and so ordering up means the boot feels a bit loose and floppy on my foot. Not like it'll come off, but it's like the difference between clogs and sneakers. I don't want to run in clogs, or maybe even walk fast. Same here. I might buy an insole to give it a little arch support and take up some of the space in the boot to make it a bit more fitted feeling. I realize that might negatively impact my goal of having cooler summer farm footwear, though.

I ordered these because they are the WireCutter #1 rated rain boot for 2024. I had concerns Scout sizing based on other reviews, but I trusted the size guide and ordered my usual size, and they fit perfectly. Length is correct, a little roomy around the ankle, but as a pull-on rubber boot, they need to be to get them on and off. So far, they’re very comfortable (just wearing them around the house as they arrived this morning). Looking forward to testing them out later this week when we have predicted rain. The vintage coral is great in person, and I love the coral/green/yellow combo!

Comfortable out of the box. Matte finish. Salmon color is slightly muted for a beautiful vintage vibe. I wear a women's 9.5 or 10, and the size 9 fits great with thick socks. Not much arch support and a flatter sole than the type with a heel. Good for up to about 4 inches of rain or mud. If the off-white neoprene gets muddy it might stain, but that just gives you cred.

So this brand only uses MENS SIZES even in the women’s shoes. I bought a size 8 because thats what I am in women’s sizes and this is clearly labeled women’s shoe. They get here and clearly the wrong size. I am so bummed now I have to do this whole exchange ordeal. I’m disappointed in REI not catching this detail and converting the sizes for online customers.

I really liked this color/style but the reviews for sizing were all over the place so I was a bit nervous how it would turn out. I am a true 6.5 in womens. I ordered a 6 and they fit just fine with a sock. I feel the 7 would have been a bit large even with socks since these style shoes run slightly wide. If you aren’t a half size just order your normal size. I have no slippage issues and like the slide on and off style.

Came damaged. Almost looks like they were pre used. Scuffs all over.

I’ve gotten a lot of use out of these deck boots in a short amount of time. Never gotten so many compliments on work boots before!

I love these boots. They are very comfortable. They actually put a spring in my step. Only problem is thar i ordered a size down because of the reviews that said they ran large. They are true to size. Great color too!
