Surly Single Cassette Cogs are designed first and foremost for single-speed riding, but they can also be stacked to create a simplified multispeed drivetrain.
- At the base, each cog is 4.35 mm wide, which allows you to stack a few of them up for a simplified multispeed drivetrain—use a 9-speed derailleur if you do that
- Multigear use will result in slower, less-crisp shifting than cogs designed for multigear systems
- Machined from SCM415 chromoly steel; heat-treated and chrome-plated for strength and durability
- Cogs work with 6- to 9-speed, 3/32 in. chains
- Compatible freehub: Shimano Hyperglide (HG)
