Bring this toilet to you next parade!
I took this toilet to our pride parade set up with my friends. I spent a total of $60 with toilet+ 6pack of bags+ extra biogel. Borrowed my friend's popup changing tent (so if you don't have one, I would recommend getting one). It was a group of 21 people. I should have changed the bags more frequently; I only used 2 "Double Doodie Waste Bags with Bio-Gel' + added more biogel (glad I bought extra gel); I should have used at least 5 bags in hindsight; people use it a lot when drinking. I did not expect my friends to be impressed by a toilet, but here we are. It was the best part of our parade set up. I would suggest this for any parade set up to avoid nasty porta potties.
Fit for Use
I’m a travel nurse who sometimes pet sits for some very nice folks in Colorado - whenever I can. When they’re in town they let me use the separate studio on their property. It doesn’t have running water so I picked this up at REI to use instead of going over to the house. I use it for peeing and then dump it on the compost pile that’s fairly close by. Pretty specialized use but it’s comfy for me at 5’8” and 150 lbs. It feels stable to sit and the top fits well, traps odor and comes off easily for dumping and cleaning. I haven’t used the bags or gel as there’s no need for me.
The Perfect Portable Potty
Tall enough for a tall person to sit comfortably, stable (especially if in a milk crate), perfect for those late night potty calls!
Everyone should own one.
This is by far one of the best investments we’ve made. We got it for use on my husbands semi while I’m with him, and the $22 (plus more for the bags) Is 100% worth it. It was easy to use, even easier to dispose, and no mess. I used it night so I didn’t have to walk alone to the truck stop bathrooms and even while we were stuck in traffic. Also great if you’re having plumbing issues at home. Way less expensive than an RV potty. I’d recommend it over and over again!
Does the job
While not the most glamorous purchase we've ever made, this definitely serves a need when you're camping in more remote areas. For the price, this seems like a good product. We've only owned it about a year so we can't speak to the long-term durability. But when needed, it does the job. The plastic top falls off pretty easily but is just as easy to get back on. I'm somewhat concerned the plastic hinges might break at some point. But they haven't yet so keeping the fingers crossed. This is clearly not for more robust individuals or those who might have trouble squatting. So if you fit those categories look elsewhere. But overall it's serves a need and doesn't break the bank so I'd recommend it for those purposes.
Design Needs Attention
I got this because it was smaller than a similar style I found through an RV site. I don't like it at all. The seat is hard to remove, I'm terrified I'll make a mess eventually but the worst part is the lid falls off way too easily and it smells as if it doesn't close all the way which is pretty unpleasant in a camper. I like the handle but that's it.
Convenient camper potty
I bought this for my camper van for times when I did not have facilities available. The toilet itself is not expensive, though the bag cost can add up. The lid is harder to remove than I would like, but not a deal-breaker. I'll stick with this.
Better than I anticipated.
Fits snugly, but easily removable. Doesn't overbalance the bucket. Comfortable.
Convinent, but check that the bag seals.
Very convenient to use. Only problem is the bag didn't completely seal, so we wrapped it in another bag, but it stunk up the bucket so we threw it out. Also more powder is necessary than what is already in the bag
Indispensable for every emergency cache
A well-built bucket with a well-fitting seat and lid. It might last a couple months in an emergency.
