Must buy!

I specifically buy this line because this is the most dependable shoe that I have worn for work and it is extremely comfortable! I'm and HVAC tech and I need something waterproof and breathable and this shoe does it! It doesn't matter if it's the low top for summer or the mid for winter this is a great pick!

A good shoe gone bad?

I've bought myself a new pair nearly every year but this shoe is a shadow of what it used to be. Cheap sole that wears prematurely, fabric lace loops.

Not good for wading in an atmospheric river.

Purchased in July hoping for year round use. They were a little warm and did not breathe so well but I hung on with winter in mind, a little warmth would be good. Fast forward to December and our first good rain, not so good. I stepped in a shallow puddle and my right foot felt cold and wet, I did not want to believe it but when I got home and checked, sure enough - soggy. I have several pairs of Vectiv Futurelight waterproof from The North Face, and have waded to my car in a flooded parking lot, fully expecting to overwhelm the shoe, but stayed high and dry. I just ordered another pair to replace the Hedgehog 3's

I would definitely buy these boots again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had North Face boots a while ago and decided to buy a new brand. I used those new boots on a trip and they gave me blisters, returned them for a small size, same problem. I decided to switch back to North Face and they are so much more comfortable and blisters are gone. Next time I need new boots I'm sticking to this brand. I might even buy a second pair to keep around so I have a replacement when these wear down.

After 4 month of use

After using for four month one shoe had tear on top and other start tearing. Went to store to return . I was told there is no warranty of material that was used on top.

Horrible shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had several pairs of North Face Goretex shoes in the past and they have always been awesome. This is my first pair with North Face's Dryvent replacement and they are horrific. They do not breathe at all. I have never had sweaty feet and after wearing these for a day in 10 degree Celsius dry weather my socks are soaking and my feet stink. I have worn them twice for approximately 30 minutes in moderate rain and my feet are soaked afterwards while my torso remains dry from my Goretex jacket. I will never buy North Face shoes again. Very disappointing.

Northface has been my hiking shoe of choice for at least 10

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sometimes off-road, but mostly on paved surfaces. North Face Shoe has been my waalking/hiking shoe of choice for the last 10 years.I walk six to 10 miles everyday. i go through a pair of shoes, regardless of brand about every 4 to 6 months. I prefer the Vector/fastpack super light for most of my walking/hiking, but rely on the Hedgehog waterproof for wet conditions. The Vector is slightly more comfortable overall especially on long walks, but the hedgehog is great in adverse weather.

Hedgehog 3

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] true to size and still a fairly wide shoe for wider feet customers. Pretty comfortable. The soles I was not impressed with. Very little traction on these and come like they're already half worn down. The notch in the back of the shoe which is usually cut out to go around the Achilles' tendon is almost non-existent so it does cause some pressure back there on longer walks. I would not consider this a hiking shoe at all more of a nice looking nature walk shoe.

Don’t buy

I used to wear this style of North Face shoe 10 years ago. I really liked them then. I decided to try another pair. These look nice online. However, as soon as I put them on I knew I would return them. They are big and clunky. In fact in person they aren’t attractive at all. The laces are also cheap. If they did not say North Face one would think they were $20 shoes. I will be returning them.

Go-to all-purpose shoe that I buy every year

I have purchased Hedgehog hiking shoes every year for over a decade now. They are exceptional shoes. They really are waterproof and they hold up really well in all sorts of conditions. The only thing that wears out on them is the traction, which is the only reason I have to replace them every 9-12 months after frequent use. I use them in all kinds of environment and they are my go-to all-purpose shoe.
