Smartwool  Ski Zero Cushion Over The Calf Socks - Men's

My son and I bought these for skiing. My son is size 11 and im a size 10-1/2 shoe with a wide foot. My son is 6' 178 lbs and im 6' 240. The sizing chart says 12. 5-14 is extra large. We both went with xl. There isn't a xxl. The socks fit my son very well except the height is mid calf. Therefore, when skiing the socks slip down. The socks are very tight on me and slip down as well. We both love the quality and materials. To be usable for skiing they need to be 2-3"" taller to get over the calf so they don't slip down, the sizing chart needs to be accurate and there should be an xxl. Then we would buy many pairs each.

This pair of socks, Zero Cushion Ski Sock has been my go to pair for everyday. . . working in a ski patrol position, or recreating on my days off. Add toe warmers if necessary but it provides a great fit, feel and never bunches! Always stays up making the gap between 3/4 base and my sock non existent. Durable despite the light weight, I have a few pair that have been and are still going strong after five years. It is my choice of ski sock!

In a boot that fits well these allow you to have the best connection with the boot. I have aftermarket boot liners that are quite warm and thin socks are not an issue. These are thin, so if you have cold feet these might not be the best choice. They last 100's of days of skiing when used in a rotation. #sweepstakes

These are the socks I wear with my cowboy boots. They are perfect for that job. Comfortable, not too think so as to change size and most importantly they stay up. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I've tried other well known brands long wool socks and there is no comparison. The others fall down constantly forcing me to stop and pull them up. Which is a project when wearing cowboy boots. Smartwool Rocks!!!

I was looking for a thinner ski sock that would work better in my Nordica Speedmachine 110 boots that I got last year. I had been using Bomba ski socks and because of the fit of the new boots, my feet were getting cold this season. Pretty sure it was the tighter fit and I wasn't getting good circulation in my feet. These are much thinner than the Bombas and hopefully will allow my feet to stay warmer.

My favorite ski socks--thin and light for great boot fit and control, but soft, comfortable and warm. The ones with light padding are probably ok if you don't have your own custom fit boots, but these are all you need--it's counterintuitive that thinner is warmer, and this kind of wool is fantastic for temperature regulation. I have several pair and rarely wear anything else.

The title of this says it all ' I DO buy this product again and again' I personally cannot stand thick ski socks. I never have problems with my feet getting cold anyway, and I like a tight fit and great contact with my boot. These things work perfect for me, this is like the sixth pair I've purchased. Smartwool Rocks!

I am incredibly disappointed. I've been a Smartwool customer for years (decades?) and this pair of socks wore through after just two uses. I have Smartwool socks purchased 15 years ago that have yet to become threadbare or hole-y, so I guess this is just a sign of decreasing quality of materials and manufacture.
