Great concept but needs more work

I really love the concept and wonder why there aren't more companies that make reusable toothpaste containers. I bought 2 packs and in each one, the clip on one of the tunes is really difficult to get off. It doesn't slide off and seems stuck. I hope the company works on improving the design.

Poorly Designed Cap

Great concept but the screw cap material is a bit thin and snapped after a couple of uses. Hopefully the company fixes this and thickens the cap material a bit.

Portable, long-lasting, and reusable

I had a recent work trip which required me to fly on a plane, which comes with all the associated TSA regulations regarding toiletries / liquids. I try to avoid single-use waste as much as possible, which in this case would include small travel toothpaste tubes. These Matador refillable tubes are a great solution - they meet travel restriction sizes, while carrying plenty of toothpaste. I'm even looking forward to using these on camping and roadtrips - no more carrying around a full-size tube for me! My first trip with the black one, which is labeled for 2 weeks, lasted my weeklong trip without issue. There was no leakage or mess from these and they held up well during travel, while allowing use of my preferred toothpaste brand. It's easy to use these - the caps are small but not difficult to open; the tube doesn't require a lot of pressure to dispense toothpaste; it doesn't feel too difficult to control how much toothpaste comes out. The most difficult part of the process is the filling of the tubes. There is a clip on the end that holds the folded edge shut. This seal is quite secure, and requires a bit of effort to remove / attach the clip. When filling, I also recommend you remain a bit underneath the max fill line. I was below the line on my first attempt but in the process of refolding the edge and attaching the clip, I think too much air got caught inside, which caused toothpaste to immediately be forced out the then-uncapped front tip. But with additional practice, I'm optimistic this won't be an issue every time.

Good quality except one thing

I really like it! Such a bummer that the cap of the white tube cracked after a few months of not frequent use.

The best little tubes

I waited for these to be restocked multiple times and bought 2 sets. They perform flawlessly for my backpacking trips for 2-4 weeks and for work trips. I fill with toothpaste, face moisturizer, sunscreen, etc. Whenever I need a small quantity these are my go-to. My expectations were exceeded. Zero leaks.

Great concept, but close clip isn't replaceable

I like the thought of a refillable toothpaste holder, but there are 2 issues I encountered. 1 Do not overfill as it will be difficulty to close the tube using the clip. 2 the clip used to close the refill end of the tube is very brittle and I can see it breaking after a year of use, such an odd piece and not easily replaced. For a month long trip to Thailand we had to take both tubes and we had to replenish while on the trip. Great concept, just wish the seal on the end you refill was more durable.

holds and dispenses toothpaste

This is obviously a simple product. I kept talking myself out of getting this for a while. As I increased the number of trips I take, I started tightening up my load and exploring one-pack travel options and accessories. I finally reasoned that getting a tube that I could refill as necessary might be a good solution over travel size toothpastes. My mind was made up when I saw how much travel tubes of toothpaste had gone up in price recently. When I first got the kit(includes 2 tubes with caps), I washed them and had a freak accident in losing the cap to one of the tubes. I contacted Matador and their customer service was awesome. They replaced the missing cap without any friction and shipped it to me fast so I had it before my upcoming trip. Filling the tube is easy, but you should take note of one thing in particular. When you slide the closure onto the end of the tube, be sure to look for the spindle/pin that is inside the closure. The tube needs to fold over that spindle. If you don’t pay attention, I imagine you might miss the spindle and have a hard time sliding the closure over the fold in the tube, or possibly breaking the spindle, or maybe even having the closure pop off during your trip. I used the larger, brown, 2-week tube for a 10-day trip to Las Vegas. It did the trick and is already loaded up for,y next journey. A necessity? No. A convenience? Yes.
