Light Weight, Fits Like a Glove
Fashionable , light, comfortable and fun. But... are they worth the price? I received these shoes from REI to test. When evaluating shoes I think about four criteria: fit, comfort, price, and fashion. Fit - tight and comfortable. Wearing socks made the socks slide inside the shoe; therefore, I preferred to wear them without socks. These shoes are a tight fit. The manufacturer recommends sizing up. I typically wear a size 9 running shoe and ordered that same size. The fit more like a 8.5. I tested these shoes with and without socks. They fit like a glove! Form-fitting and sleek, I liked how they looked and felt (without socks). Comfort - can I wear them for hours? The answer is yes. I tested these while walking around an amusement park during summer's heat. The toe next to my pinky rubbed against the shoe where the toe box is located. Price - a little pricey for non-running (fashion) shoe. I'm not sure I would be willing to pay the full retail price. Fashion - how do they look? I loved how these shoes looked and was very pleased how they looked on their own or with jeans, leggings and shorts. They're unique and fit well with most my outfits. Lastly, I want to comment on cleaning. The pair I have were all white and did show some dirt/wear over time. Overall, I enjoyed the shoe and recommend it if you're willing to pay the price. Could use a bit wider toe box.
Narrow but comfortable spring in your step
These shoes cushion your foot nicely and provide good support. However, they are quite narrow. I even ordered a half size up from my usual shoe size and the shoes still felt too snug on the sides of my feet. These are ideal for a neighborhood or city walk, and if you have relatively narrow feet!
Stylish, lightweight and functional
I'll be wearing these shoes for casual workdays, errands around town, walks in my neighborhood and possibly some weightlifting in the gym (although I want to keep them looking clean and white, so we'll see about that). They are lightweight and stylish and I feel really cute in them! The manufacturer does say they run snug and I would agree. I wear a 7 to 7.5 depending on the shoe. I got a 7 in this shoe and it's definitely snug, but still wearable. If you are between sizes, you will probably want to size up for comfort's sake. These shoes seem like they are great quality, but I've only had them about a week so time will tell!
Sleek and lightweight, but narrow
The shoe is gorgeous - it looks like the perfect option to wear to the US Open to balance style and comfort. It’s lightweight and breathable, and the materials feel high quality. It also comes with a lined bag, which is an excellent idea for travel. I followed the recommendation to size up a half size, and was grateful I did that. I typically wear a size 9 and with this in a 9.5, it still felt a little snug for length. My real concern is with the width design - after putting on the shoe each morning, I needed to take it off within an hour as my toes would go numb from it being too tight through the ball of my foot. I don’t wear a wide in any other shoes, so I included photo measurements that may help others in deciding if they should order this in wide sizing. The other concern that will prevent me from wearing these shoes is that it doesn’t provide any arch support. I have high arches, but also don’t tend to have an issue with most shoes. This style just isn’t a match for my foot type.
Overall I give this shoe a solid "B"!
It took me about a week to break-in these shoes (2-3 mile walks around the neighborhood), which was a bit longer than I like for a tennis shoe, but once broken in I was surprised at how well they molded to my feet. Fair warning, they did start to give me blisters on the back of my heel day 2, but I wore thicker socks the following "break-in" days and they never developed beyond the initial hot spots. The shoe is pretty lightweight, and has a fancier style to it. It has less cushion in the heel to it than the standard sneakers, which in my opinion makes this shoe better suited for casual around the town errands, casual work days, etc. as opposed to gym shoes. The back of the shoe comes up higher than typical, which adds to its unique style and (to my surprise) did not rub/bother my Achilles tendon at all! If you're looking for something to pair with a casual jean shorts type of outfit, this shoe would be great. It won't be my personal choice for any running or high impact gym activities due to the less cushioning. I'm knocking off a star for that reason, as I think there could be room for improvement on its comfort as an active sneaker!
They don't run big (long)
I was excited to try a shoe designed specifically for women by a woman athlete. The product description emphasized that the shoes run small and that it is important to size up at least one half size. However, I found that these shoes actually run normal to long in sizing (see photo). The toe of the shoe also angles inward relative to the heel and the toebox is slightly narrow. Those with very straight and/or wide feet might find that the fit of this shoe does not work for them. The shoes have a great look with some iridescence to the fabric and include a reflective badge on the tongue for safety in the dark. The footbed is just soft enough to be very comfortable and the sole has some "spring" to it. Due to the interior materials, especially the more rigid smooth material used for the heel section, I preferred to wear these without socks.
Comfy but with some flaws
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. These shoes are cute and comfortable. I ordered 1/2 size larger than usual per guidelines. I'd say after trying these shoes that I'd have preferred to order my original size might have been a better fit. I have a pretty standard fit foot. These Saysh shoes are slightly narrow fit but larger volume fit which is a bit odd. However, they are overall well constructed and a great option to wear around town to go shopping or for a light workout. However, in my pair there was some odd, uneven midsole on half of one of the shoes making it feel uncomfortable and inconsistent. My 3-star review reflects both the pros of the use/comfort but also the cons of the fit/oddities. I think it would be in best interest to try these shoes on in-store to confirm it works for you.
Pretty Great, With Some Caveats
3.5 stars - overall a nice shoe, but could be better I have worn the Saysh Women's One shoes a couple of times now for casual walks of about 1-3 miles with my son. All walks were on paved surfaces. Over these walks, I have definitely noticed where these shows are great and where they could use some improvement. Sizing: I went with my normal sneaker size, 7.5. I'm usually a steet size 7. These fit great! Pros: -Nice heel cushion for walking and heel support -Knit of the shoe nicely hugs my foot, making it feel very secure -Tongue is very soft and can easily be moved for comfort -All white styling is very fashionable, albeit dirt showing. Cons: -Little to no arch support, despite the good heel support -Rubbing area - where the heel and the front knit of the shoe come together, they attempted to pad the seam, but in doing so, created a raised area that starts to rub on the side of my foot, between my arch and heel. -Not a lot of cushion - if you are someone that likes a cushy walk/feel of a shoe, these are NOT it. Overall, they are a pretty decent shoe! I may try to adjust the support by putting in a better insole. But if you are someone that can get away without a whole lot of arch support and are looking for a lightweight, somewhat foot hugging shoe, these are great! I have a feeling I'll be getting good use out of these when I don't want to use my full gym shoes for more casual walks or when I need to wear sneakers but want the more stylish look than my gym shoe.
May be best for a narrower foot
I wanted to love these, but the fit didn’t work well for me. They are beautiful, stylish shoes. They seem to be made of high quality materials, with decent cushioning, and I love the brand’s story. But, they were far too narrow for my feet. I normally wear an 8.5 (sometimes a 9 in boots) so per recommendations tried a 9. The length was about right (bigger size would’ve been too long) but they felt very tight across the middle of my foot. You can see the sides of my foot bulging out. But at the same time, the back of my heel was slipping out of the shoe. I couldn’t try these for jogging as after even a moderate walk, it was just too uncomfortable. For reference, my feet are somewhat wide but not excessively so - I normally wear medium width running shoes, occasionally a wide is more comfortable but I’ve never had issues fitting into most shoes. Not the right fit for me, but great for the right foot!
Classic style
These shows are very stylish! I liked that they came with a cloth travel bag. The white look makes them so classic, working for a morning walk or a business casual look. I do wish they were a bit wider, however, they are still quite comfy, especially with my custom insoles!
