Perfect travel jacket

My wife and I each have one of these for ourselves and needing something for our boys to travel to Alaska that was light weight, but warm. We also needed it to be extremely packable. This jacket does just that for cold mornings and evenings during summer in Alaska.

Perfect size for preteen

It’s tough to find clothes that fit for a fairly tall preteen and this was great. Kept him warm, sleeves are long enough that he won’t immediately outgrow it. And he loves the look.

Fuego Hooded Down Jacket - Kids'.

I got this Cotopaxi insulated jacket for my daughter, and it's been a fantastic purchase. The quality is excellent, and it keeps her warm and cozy during chilly days. The insulation does a great job without being bulky, so she can still run around and play comfortably. The fit is true to size, and the colors are vibrant and fun—she loves wearing it! It’s clear this jacket is built to last, and I feel good knowing it’s made with sustainable materials too. Highly recommend for any parent looking for a reliable and stylish jacket for their child

Beautiful but not as warm as I thought it'd be

I was choosing between this jacket and the similarly priced Kids Down Sweater from Patagonia, which I usually buy for my kids. My youngest liked the colors offered by Cotopaxi so we went with this one this year. It doesn't seem as warm as the one we usually get from Patagonia so we'll probably opt for the Patagonia jacket next time. That all being said, the jacket itself is of high quality and if we were further south, I would definitely buy this jacket again. For reference, we're in the DMV area.

Fuego hooded down jacket - kids

The colors in the fuego hooded down jacket are vibrant and beautiful. The construction of the garment is excellent. I would like to see a windproof layer and a zippered pocket in the sleeve (for your ski pass) to make it more useful for alpine skiing as a stand-alone jacket. Also, I would love to see a waterproof/windproof shell to add to this cute little down jacket for windy or wet conditions. I would highly recommend this jacket for your outdoor adventures.

Adorbale

This jacket is absolutely adorable. So far, it's keeping my kiddo warm, although it doesn't have as much loft as I expected. I have the adult version and the down feels thicker and fluffier. I don't know if this needs to be put in the dryer to thicken up or if the insulation is just different on the kids' jacket. We'll see what happens on the next really cold day. Love the hood coverage, the colors and that my son can easily zip it himself.

Versatile jacket

Ordered a larger size for my growing son. His current jacket fits him well, but soon will be too small. Has been quite durable. The jacket itself is well constructed, lightweight, warm, and not too bulky. It’s also easy to stuff in his backpack when the afternoons are warm. The hood is nice on those chilly mornings…and no more lost hats.

Loose Threads

The jacket looks great and fits my son as I expected, but there were at least five loose threads hanging off it when I opened the package. I’ve had to send multiple Cotopaxi items to Rugged Thread for repair because they tore at the seams, and I’m a little concerned I’ll have to do the same for this jacket before spring arrives…
