Almost
I’ve only used this once during a stormy camping trip in the California Redwoods, and a few times in light to moderate rainfall around my town (northern/central CA). But so far, it’s a decent purchase. It’s not too bulky or stiff which was important for me since I’m 5’1, 125-130 lbs. I ordered a medium and at first considered sizing down because I had plenty of room inside. However, this was an advantage because I easily wore a warmer base underneath and breathability for light hiking was not an issue. I could even layer in a warm sherpa jacket for cold nights around camp and still had room. I remained dry, warm, and comfortable. The shorter sleeve length other reviewers mentioned were not a problem for me because I am on the petite side, but I do not recommend this jacket for taller folks with longer arms because I agree that they might ride up a bit. I’m only giving this 4 stars because of the hood. As others mentioned, it is definitely on the small side. I have thick, curly hair so maybe if I straightened my hair or braided it out the way it’d work better. Still, the hood doesn’t offer complete coverage in my opinion. If I find anything with a similar style and larger hood I might consider upgrading sooner rather than later because the hood was a bit of a letdown.

Not great on a bicycle
I wore this jacket on a month-long cycling tour of Europe in June. There were many rainy days. This jacket did not keep me dry. I could see the raindrops beading on parts of the jacket, but the lower half of the sleeves soaked right through. Also, the jacket is quite short, so clothing is easily exposed at the waistline. The jacket is cute and comfortable otherwise. It's probably fine in light rain and for activities other than cycling.

A jacket, not just a waterproof shell

Great jacket, roomy. I added some some cord locks from an old jacket as the drawstrings are a little too plain.

Heavy rain? No bueno

I bought this rain hoodie because I wear a petite size, and the jacket was seemingly cropped and somewhat boxy enough to fit a thick warm layer underneath. As another reviewer stated, this jacket is NOT waterproof. Sure, it might work adequately in light rain, but if the skies have opened up and you're out for an extended period of time, you'll become totally soaked. It started with the wrist bands, and then the drawstring at bottom. Before long, the lining and my fleece underneath were soaked. If a 100% waterproof jacket is a priority, I'd find an alternative.

Great for short torsos!

I'm 5' 2" with a short torso, I have boobs and a butt and this rain jacket was perfect for me! As a personal preference, I don't love rain jackets that velcro around the wrists, (usually because the arms are too long) so I really enjoyed the elastic on the wrists of this jacket. I was easy to get on and off, the hood worked perfectly and the fact that the zipper goes high up around your neck really kept me warm in the Oregon rain. From my experience, it's waterproof and I was dry every time I took it off after wearing it in major downpours. My only dislike about this jacket is that it doesn't have any means to shorten up the hood so a lot of times when I had to put the hood on, it covered up some of my vision because the top of the hood spilled over my face.

Nice jacket!

Seems like a pretty good jacket. I have worn it a few times and only once in the rain but I stayed dry. It’s cute and in a fun print. I am 5’4” and it comes to mid hip so not cropped but not long. I mostly got it for a lightweight jacket for city wear and for golfing. I would want a slightly longer jacket for hiking because of my pack. I have a nice longer rain jacket but I find it a bit too warm for our hot summers here in Maryland. This fits the bill.

Sleeves are Much Shorter than Listed.

I wish I read the reviews before purchasing. There is no way these models are wearing the same jacket! The sleeves are way too short! For context I’m 5’8”, 155lbs, and ordered a medium. Such a cute jacket but with the short sleeves and short waist design, it looks like I’m wearing my little sister’s jacket. Like I had a growth spurt but am still wearing clothes that don’t fit anymore. Ugh. I had such high hopes. Lé sigh.

Water resistent

Hiked in light rain for 2 hours and this jacket fell short for me. Items stored in the pockets got wet and the hems felts heavy & cold with water. I bought this jacket to be waterproof but it's more water-resistent. I would not of purchased if I knew this, despite the great fit for my petite frame.

Perfect fit for petites

Great lightweight jacket! Ordered XS—jacket length and arms (with nice, strong/not too strong cuffs) were perfect for 5’1” 108# Fit is on the looser side since I still had plenty of room even with a thick sweater, but I wouldn’t size down. All the colors were nice but chose the white dune as it somewhat camouflages the obnoxious white screen printed logo (wish they would go back to monochrome embroidery bc it significantly ups the quality!) My only other minor complaint is the inside pocket closes with a small piece of Velcro… feels cheap and unnecessary since it doesn’t seal all the way; I’d prefer without to more easily access. Wish I could rate 4.5 but neither of these gripes is worth removing a full star since this checks all the other boxes.

finally a rain shell for short people!

I’m 5’1” and can never find coats where the sleeves aren’t too long. These are the perfect length! I typically where a 14/L shirt and 16/XL bottoms and the XL fits perfectly with room for layers underneath.
