Great Tent

Just gotta say I'm not sure why this tent scores low but I absolutely love this tent and nothing has failed on me in the 3 years that I've owned it. Takes me about 15" to set it up. Love the huge amount of space.

Worth it.

Easy to set up singlehanded with only 3 poles, two are identical, so setup is obvious without looking at instructions (if you're somewhat familiar with tents), several built in pockets on the walls of the tent. The tent bag has straps, like a backpack, handy if you're car camping and just making trips back and forth. It could use more ventilation, but it breathes enough. Had one torrential downpour, even with the windows open, the fly still kept the water out. I don't find that front doormat to be particularly useful, though. Lightweight and roomy.

good tent

This tent is pretty awesome. When I go car camping, I always get a lot of compliments on it and people asking which brand it is so they can look it up. I also bought the vestibule attachment to make it a bit more hospitable during rainy days. I can stand up fully in the middle of the tent (I'm 5'10") which is a huge reason I like this tent. I've taken it out this year about 5 times and it has performed well every trip. Durability is solid and it's rained numerous times and not a single leak. Big Agnes does all the seam sealing at the factory so I probably won't have to reseal it for a bit. My biggest complaint about this tent is the welcome mat. The thing just gathers dirt, dust, and rain. I've seen some forum posts about tucking it under the tent or cutting it off which may be what I end up doing next time I go camping with this thing and it rains.

What more do you need?

Agree with the reviewer who said he doesn’t know why this tent has low ratings. I’ve car camped with it with kids for two summers and it’s great. Big, roomy, easy to set up, even single-handed. Was watertight in a monsoon. Great tent, especially for the money.

Love this Big Agnes

This is a fabulous tent - easy to put up and good quality materials. We use it for 2 people with cots and it's the perfect size. We were recently in a big rain and wind storm and it did great. We are very happy with this tent!

Great design, poor quality.

I love the size, shape and overall design. However, the material is thinner than most tents I've owned, and the zippers/zipper covers are terrible. They snag half the time.

Easy setup

Easy setup and has plenty of room for a family. Tall enough to be able to stand up in.
