I love everything about these gloves!

Received free product

I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I used these multiple time in the past four weeks in varying weather. I ran on cold sunny days, and cool rainy days. I hiked three times... once in an absolute downpour. At all times my hands stayed dry and warm. I even gave them a two minute submerged in water test, see photos. I did not submerge the cuff as that is not waterproof. No water seeped in through the seams which I found amazing. I found the sensor tips on thumb and index finger to be very responsive with my cell phone, better than my other two pairs when compared. I liked the cuff loop as I could easily clip them onto my pack or the clip on my running jacket. I found the texture on the remaining figure and palm useful for a solid grip while opening items. Last, please note that these are a unisex size.

Great choice for outdoor winter activities!

Received free product

These gloves were used for hiking in cold, wet weather. The style of the glove is rather nice, looks sharp. The soft fleece lining is very comfortable. The sizing is accurate according to the guidelines. The gloves have good flexibility and move well with the hand. The reinforced tabs at the wrist not only make them easy to pull on but can also be used to clip gloves together or attach them to a pack. The gloves come up far enough so you can tuck a base layer underneath to avoid drafts. The gloves have excellent waterproofing and do not let water penetrate. The palm and finger tips have a nice grippy texture so you won't drop things. The inside stitching is prominent and very noticeable but not uncomfortable. The touch screen tips are inconsistent and vary by phone. Overall these are very good gloves.

Softshell rain jackets for your hands

Received free product

The title says it all. Have you ever worn a soft-shell jacket and thought, "I wish they made gloves like this"? Then the Ventas are for you! Single layer, water-resistant, a little bit of extra durability on fingertips and palms. But here's the thing - my favorite thing about them is the large wrist loop that let's you pull them on and off. That's a great feature, but it's one I ended up using a lot because these are definitely sized for male hands (I recommend trying them on, or sizing down). The single layer also means that there are very perceptible seams on the inside of the glove. It drove me crazy, but you may not mind.

Great lightweight gloves with superb wind blocking

Received free product

Great gloves for active fall/winter sports. I have used these gloves on a long run in light rain and windy conditions and they worked great. The Gore-Tex Infinium is excellent at blocking wind. You can tell even putting them on inside. The gloves are very light and flexible so can easily be packed in a running vest, clipped to a belt, or even just held which is what I did when running with them. They wouldn’t be warm enough for non-active fall/winter activities but not really designed for that. The gloves are very comfortable - particularly on the cuff area. No tags or plastic to run against anything. Very stylish with only a small logo. Includes reinforcements on the fingers and part of the palm. Not intended for heavy gripping or holding things (except maybe some cross country ski poles). Better for protection of empty hands like running and in-town activities where you just need wind blocking.

Kept my hands warm and dry without getting sweaty

Received free product

I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I wore these gloves for multiple long hikes in cool weather, heavy fog, and heavy rain. I also wore them on a few bike rides. They might be my new favorite gloves! • They are easy to slip on and off. This is an important feature for me because I frequently take my gloves on and off while hiking. I especially like the little pull loops on the inside of the wrists. • The touch-screen tips worked great. • I am a woman with large hands and usually end up wearing a Men’s Large, but the Medium fit me very comfortably. • My hands stayed warm and dry without getting sweaty. The gloves are lined with a nice textured fleece and the outer fabric is Gore-Tex. I don’t think they’ll be warm enough for really cold weather and they aren’t roomy enough to fit an extra liner. • I like the soft fabric cuff at the wrist and the overall stretchiness of the gloves.

Finger tips for touch screen use

The glove is in overall very good construction and provides the warm at the rating described. I have multiple pairs of Arc'Teryx gloves and purchased this pair solely for city use while I'm on the phone. After only one winter, the fingertips (index and thumb) deteriorated and ripped. The gloves still function as gloves, but I can no longer use my phone while wearing these gloves (which defeats the entire purpose of my purchase). Upon closer inspection, the material is made of a very thin fabric and is inferior to anything else I've found on an Arc'Teryx product. When I reached out to Arc'Teryx for repair, I was denied noting that the damage was beyond the Pratical Product Lifespan. For me this was one winter. I'm am thoroughly disappointed with this product as it does not meet my expectation of quality from Arc'Teryx.

Wrist, cuff and fingers are way too big

Giving 2 stars because I have owned these gloves for about 10 years and I prefer the old version way more. I owned a model from around 2016 and they've been my favorite glove since then for all spring, fall and winter activities. I've recommended them to many friends as well. The material on my old pair finally wore aware so much that there are holes in the finger tips so I decided to re-buy. Unfortunately the fit and design of this updated version is quite different. My old pair was a size small, and all other gloves I wear are small and this new size small is way too big. The fingers are about 1cm too long and the wrist and cuff are HUGE. The cuff material is a stretch knit, so expected to be snug on the wrist but there is a 3cm open gap, which allows wind to come in and makes the gloves shift around on my hand/handlebar because it doesn't hold in place. The material is still great and I do like that there is no leather on the palm now (because it would just get wet heavy and stay cold), but I much prefer the previous versions fit, and cuff design.

Hello there, thank you for sharing your detailed feedback on the Venta Glove. We’re glad to hear that you’ve appreciated the durability and material quality over the years, and we understand how disappointing it can be when a beloved product no longer fits as expected. The changes in fit and cuff design were made to enhance versatility, but we recognize these updates may not work for everyone, particularly if you were used to the previous version. Your input on sizing and cuff functionality is valuable, and we’ll pass it along to our design team for consideration in future updates. If you'd like assistance finding an alternative or exploring other options, our team would be happy to help!

They ripped (literally)

Bought them and the hem at the top ripped (twice), after a few uses. I bought 2 pairs and both ripped in the same place. A but pricey for not very long lasting use.

Not really water resistant

First use was a rainy day in Iceland. Just a drizzle really. After a few hours the fingertips started to leak.
