Best quality price
It’s amazing for my adventures doesn’t matter the weather
BAD BAD QUALITY
I have other ARC'TERYX products but the quality of VENTA is really really bad. As in BAD! The product is not worth the amount I paid for it. Thats how disappointed I am with this product.
Underwhelming Performance
Material is not warm or windproof, can’t use iphone, they fit baggy. I use them for riding my bike around 50F(10C) and they under perform. I would not recommend.
Excellent against the elements
I recently moved to New Hampshire from Florida and this weird white stuff that falls from the sky during winter is foreign to me, along with all the work of removing it from walking and driving paths. I got these gloves and put them to the test during our last snowfall before Christmas and my hands stayed nice and dry, even while building my first snowman. They aren’t super thick, so a thin layer may be desired underneath for really cold temperatures, but as far as keeping the wet and wind out, I give them an A !
Fix your sizing. Bring back gender sizing.
Worth gloves I've ever owned. Sizing is wack - resulting in inefficient windstopping and insulation. I used to have a pair of the old Venta gloves and they fit fine. But the new iteration is poorly designed for a company that sells technical gear. An XS fits like a medium with excess space in between the fingers and on top of the hands. Every time I had a do a task i.e. pulling something out of my pocket, using my phone, tie my shoelace, I have to remove the gloves to do those tasks because they fit way too big and I have no dexterity to perform simple tasks. What a disappointment to have such a poorly executed product branded with the Arc logo and went through successful QC. Black Diamond makes much nicer gloves if you’re looking for something more thoughtfully designed.
Best Designed All Around Glove
These are the best all around gloves on the market from any company. I have searched, tried, compared and always come back to these. Thin enough to maintain full dexterity and touch screen needs. Warm enough for every season...likewise breathable so can be worn Fall and Spring. The inside has a very nice lining that feels good on the hands. Most important they are windproof which I think is the real design advantage to making them warm. They also stay dry if the snow is wet or it is raining. Fit is spot on. They are not too tight or too loose. I wear a medium and I suggest it is ok to size up if you are between sizes. Where they are tight is when you first put in your hand. As a result of that tightness past designs had the stitching tear. That has been resolved now with the new design.
Very thin and not warm
Little bummed out about these gloves. I got the XXL and my hands barely fit the cuff. Odd sizing They do not have any lining and my fingers were freezing. Returning for sure.
Why are my hands cold in these gloves?
Purchased these gloves in NYC at the Arc’teryx store at Rockefeller Center. The build quality feels solid, and I sized down since the gloves run large. Unfortunately, I regret this purchase. I wore them the day before a major snowstorm in NYC, and my hands were freezing while walking from the subway to a nearby store. The temperature was below freezing, and I expected these gloves to provide basic wind and cold protection. They did not. For comparison, my Uniqlo gloves performed noticeably better at a fraction of the price. Based on my experience, these gloves may be suitable for mild conditions (around 40–50°F), but they are not effective in below-freezing temperatures. I originally bought them to match my jacket, but after this experience, I’ll be choosing a different brand for winter gloves going forward.
Need a Venta designed for women
The gloves are well made and quite windproof. However, I ordered an XS and they are still too big. I have concluded that all apparel items marketed as unisex are actually designed for men but offered in small sizes so they can fit women. For all apparel designers out there, just fyi, men and women are not built the same. Men's hands are bigger, wider, thicker, and more muscular. Returning things is a hassle so I bought some liners to take up space. It kinda works.
