Good for city, not for long trails
I wore these boots on an 8 mile, mostly flat hike in the woods and they were a little painful at the end. The boot is really flat and there is no arch support. Their waterproof feature does work though, as it was very muddy and my feet stayed dry! These do look stylish and I would recommend them for a city trip in which you might go on a quick dirt path trail to check out a view. I plan to bring them to my Germany trip in November and try them for just that purpose. Following the sizing advice, I went up a half size (from 7.5 to an 8) which I think was a good call as these can be a little narrow and that will give you space for socks. My ankles felt very secure, a must for me since I trip a lot!
Good for hiking or casual wear
This boot has a light and flexible sole, like a tennis shoe with the ankle support of a hiking boot. The fit took a little bit of getting used to as I am used to stiffer soles on hiking boots. Works great for the hikes I’ve used them on and (when they are clean) wearing for work. Good arch support too.
Great for easy trails
These boots are very casual and run slightly big. I had to use two pairs of socks to keep my foot in place. They surprisingly held up well on getting up on the rocks and gave me great stability, however, they don't give that much arch support. Definitely a great starter boot for easier hikes.
Great for everything
love love love- I got these for the stormy PNW days and love being able to take it into the office, but then out on short trails too. Got them completely covered in mud and when that was dry, it brushed right off! Light blue suede looks better than ever and so durable. Love that they're waterproof too
High quality but clunky
Pros: Appear well-made and durable, beautiful olive color, keep my feet warm and dry Cons: Very heavy and clunky These hiking boots run TTS-I wear an 8 in most shoes and the 8 in these fit me well. Overall though I would likely not recommend because of how heavy they are. When hiking I want a boot that confirms to my feet while protecting them. So although they are a high quality product, they are not for me.
Great for narrow feet
These are great boots for a casual nature walk or being out in the snow and rain. They're super cute and weigh less than hiking boots. The insoles are good for high arches. If you don't have high arches, I would recommend replacing the insoles with ones that work for you. I like how they hug your heels so you feel stable in the boot. I wish they had these in a wide size since they are too narrow for me feet.
Great for hiking, but a bit of an awkward fit
These shoes are cute and comfortable, and I could head out on an early fall hike without breaking them in first. They’re relatively lightweight and we’re great for shorter hikes where I didn’t want the bulk of a heavy hiking boot. The one downside is that the tongue of the shoe hits me in a weird spot, but I’m able to tweak the lacing a bit to help mitigate that.
Good quality, little narrow in the toebox
These are good shoes for when you aren't sure what your day might hold - not too clunky to do errands but sturdy enough to hike. I would size up if you are ever in between. I tend to prefer a wider toe box and felt a bit pinched when I wore these all day. Good quality materials and waterproof though!
Stylish and Versatile Waterproof Shoes
I typically lean towards approach shoes or lightweight hiking sneakers when I embark on hikes, mainly due to their versatility and weight-saving advantages. The ability to tackle various terrains with a single pair of shoes is crucial for me, especially since I'm frequently on the move and prefer not to lug around multiple pairs. These boots appealed to me because of they're stylish and waterproof which is great for rainy days in the city as well as hiking on muddy trails. To test how waterproof they are, I put my foot in a lake and you can see the water repel right off. I am between a size 6.5 and 7 so I sized up for this due to potential feet swelling. My only complaint would be that the soles are hard and don't provide enough cushion for me. I plan on putting in an insole to solve that. The boot ties high enough that it offers a some ankle support. Overall, I like them and these boots are now my go-to whenever I may go on a hike. They're cute, waterproof and grippy for some light scrambling.
Good, not fantastic option for trail to street
I really want to love these more and they are slowly warming on me. I’d give them a 3.5 if I could!! They are very stiff and unlike so many of my hiking/walking shoes I feel like I’m breaking them in after several wears. The toe box is slightly narrow but works for my medium width foot. A wider foot wouldn’t work. I love the concept of a trail to street shoe. I’ve worn them on the flat trails around our town and when running errands. The waterproof option is great and I picture them as a good option for a winter Europe trip I’m taking.
