Updated as Belay jacket sizing

So first thing’s first: this has been updated as a belay jacket but it’s not very explicitly stated. It really should be in the name. Essentially the medium now fits like the large did last year, but with shorter sleeves. On a positive note, The hood is much better than last year’s version. Thankfully, I looked up reviews and thought to order a size down. The only problem is that the arms are too short for me in a medium. I’m gonna send it back, but I already have a belay jacket so I guess this isn’t gonna work for me. blurple is a very nice color though. Overall pretty frustrating. If the sleeves were about 2 inches longer, the medium would fit me perfectly as a daily driver.

Hello there, thanks for sharing your experience. The latest Thorium Hoody was intentionally refined for climbers, with increased down fill, a boxier fit to improve layering, and larger baffles that visually set it apart from past versions. Those updates do change how the jacket fits compared to previous seasons, and sizing down is something many guests have found helpful, though sleeve length can vary depending on build. We’re glad to hear the hood improvements stood out, and we appreciate your feedback on sleeve length and naming clarity as we continue refining the line. The Thorium has definitely been a guest favorite, and we’re sorry this iteration didn’t align with what you needed in a daily driver.

DLP - Decent little puffer

It’s a jacket for a cool day. I’m 5’10” Bp 225 and I could still throw something under it. The hood helps with the stylish look… and wind. It has stash pockets on both sides for sneaking your favourite pint glass. It also comes with a little baggy so you can ball it up and use it as a pillow.

Hard to tell as it was too big across the waist.

I’m 5’9” and ordered a Large. I’ve got an athletic build. It was too big across the midriff, but ok in the shoulders and arms. So I returned it. I’ve ordered the same jacket in medium. But without the hood. As they had no hooded ones left.
