Great everywhere
Actually, I’m just a little bit astounded, how this thing flows and tracks, behind my smaller sized E mountain bike. For several months now I’ve been hauling music equipment, and general cargo, around the city, and out to some beaches. (And, interestingly enough, you can hand-pull this thing with a load across soft sand very easily, I wouldn’t have thought). Incredibly well-designed equipment. I eventually got the market bags and cover. Behind my various bikes, great rides, but also use standalone for shopping. Also, how it folds town so tight small when not in use, amazing. People approach me regularly, on streets and subway, what is that and where can I get one.
We are thrilled with our
We are thrilled with our new trailer. We replaced our tandem with a new Co Motion and we’re aware we would be unable to use our Bob Trailer with our tandem the way it was built. (Axle) The way the Burley folds up is a huge benefit to us as we travel in a small RV.Our recent trip we were able to pickup propane ice and groceries using the trailer.(not in one trip) We need to purchase the optional bags soon. The trailer is so quiet while towing. Great design and engineering Burley. Best Always, Jarry and Brenda
Multiple Uses for Travoy Trailer
I have 3 Burley Travoy trailers; 2 for Amateur (Ham) Radio, and 1 for grocery shopping. The Travoy is well made with excellent fit and finish. The Travoy can be easily configured for different purposes using available accessories. When not in use, the Travoy stands vertically, which minimizes floor space consumption in the garage.
I can’t say enough good
I can’t say enough good things about the Burley bike trailer. From the moment we took it out for our first ride, it exceeded all expectations. The build quality is outstanding — sturdy, safe, and clearly designed with both kids and parents in mind. It tows incredibly smoothly, even on uneven terrain, and the suspension makes for a very comfortable ride. What I love most is how easy it is to attach and detach from the bike. The quick-fold design also makes it super convenient for storage or travel. The safety features, like the 5-point harness and bright reflectors, give me total peace of mind.
Greatness ruined by outrageous accessory prices
The trailer is great to go shopping with pick up small things. I am happy to recommend it for that purpose. Burley's customer service is definitely top notch. I gave it 4 stars because it's pretty outrageous that on top of a $300 trailer the market bags are another $190 and based on the quality I'd be shocked if Burley was paying more then $20 to have them both made (comparing to other bags for about that price point on Amazon.) If you want things to stay dry it's another $50 for a rain fly - which honestly I don't begrudge them as it is a clever piece of kit. Another alternative to the bags are a few sets of $20 bag attaching point clips (again, really, these should be about $10 for a set.) The only integrated alternatives I have found to the burley bags are some nicer (and cheaper) ones in Germany (qeedo) but they are not available in the US.
Takes a beating. Brilliant!
Have exceeded the weight limit (up to 80lbs) a few times. The frame flexes substantially but for short trips it can handle it. My wife doesn’t drive and has used this for nearly ten years as her primary errand runner thru northern New Mexico winters, dirt roads, hauling food for three dogs and 40 chickens. This trailer hasn’t needdd anything but tube replacements from the occasional goat head. We’re extremely impressed with it. If you’re on the fence, the ability to quickly detach it and use as a cart in the store is without doubt the game changer. Thanks for an awesome product, Burley!
The Travoy Functions as Reviewers Have Said
I watched several YouTube videos of people reviewing and demonstrating the Travoy before I purchased one. The positive reviews were correct. The trailer rolls smoothly, turns evenly, and goes over bumps without a sound or a spill. I can now carry more groceries and will load it with larger items that I had wished I had a way to carry in the past. With the trailer, I purchased a rain cover and a light kit. While both have functioned well, and I finally figured them out, I would have liked instructions for them. I realize that placing batteries in the light should be obvious, but I felt as if I might break the light when I was trying various approaches to opening it for the battery placement. For the rain cover, I am guessing at some of the attachments to the Travoy, but it seemed to work in my one use.
Perfect for Golf & Shopping
I'm delighted with my Burley Travoy. I use it to take my golf clubs to the course, then disconnect from the bike and use it as a pull trolley, it works perfectly. My large golf bag fits perfectly and the trailor easily coped with London's speed bumps and even a cattle grid at the entrance to the golf course. I also have the upper and lower market bags which are great for my grocery shopping. My car is now sitting there unused collecting dust!
Enjoy my new Travoy
I am delighted with my recent purchase of a Burley Travoy cargo trailer. Last year I started carrying my golf clubs to the golf course on my bicycle in order to have a bit more exercise. However, carrying them over my shoulder was less than ideal. I am looking forward to using the Travoy to take the heavy burden this year. Additionally, I discovered that I can use the Travoy as my golf cart. Excellent dual duty.
Travoy is designed for the urban commuter
This is my first time using a bike trailer for my home to office commutes. . . I think it is perfect for the urban commuter. Attributes I love: 1. Collapses to a size that fits easily under a desk or work station. 2. Folding kickstand 3. Quickly attach/detach from bike 4. Quick Hitch, and Twist Handles are thoughtfully designed 5. Converts easily to a handcart. . . very functional for groceries.
