SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY, DO NOT BUY!!

The feathers are shedding non stop. At the end of each day, my fleece jacket which I wear as a layer is full of feathers. So if the weather turns nice and the sun comes out, I cannot take off this jacket because for sure, my fleece jacket will be full of feathers which is VERY EMBARRASSING!!! I look like a goose!!! And I just bought this VERY EXPENSIVE jacket. It's NOT WORTH the money. DO NOT BUY!! SUCH A WASTE!! And I don't even know if I can return it!!!

Good jacket overall.

I liked it at first, but after two months use, I find a lot of down come out from the shell comparing to my old RAB jacket, so I have to deduct some points from my review. Overall speaking, I think the jacket is great for mobility. It's lightweight and warm if you are exercising. It's not warm enough as a belay parka since I felt a little chilly if I just wear a short sleeve under it in a 30F day, but it's well enough for a normal New England winter day.

A downgrade from previous summit models

The jacket is not as good as the earlier models of summit series that I purchased few years ago. The sleeves are too large and bulky and and the wrist elastic closure is too tight enough. Under the arm, I expected to have some breathable material is the older summit models, which is missing. The hem is adjusted from one side, while for this price I expected a two-sided adjustment. Too pricey for little options.

Cuffs too loose

On the plus side the jacket is toasty warm for its weight! It's packed with a lot of down and also has great pockets. Down side is the cuffs: not tight enough! Bad news for people with shorter arms since the sleeves will slip over your hands and/or let cold air into the jacket. Cuffs had to be custom tailored to my wrist size.

down comes out

I ordered both this color and the pine green one. I had to return this one because down already starts to come out of this jacket when I received it even though I liked this color more.

Regret this purchase!

Light and warm but the hood makes it almost unusable. If you pull the cinch cords it strangles you and does not tighten the hood. Can't use the hood! Bad Design

Love this jacket!

This is my everyday winter jacket in northern Alberta. Great for warm skiing days, cold walks with the dog and casual night out. I'm 5'6" with a Medium.
