Best socks for walking
These Smartwool socks are the absolute best for Florida weather. They are moisture wicking and comfy. They stay in place and don't disappear inside my shoes. Can't recommend these highly enough.
Did not hold up 5 months
I bought in May 2023, it is now end of October 2023, and there’s a hole on the bottom. Fit well, wore about 8 days each month. Did not hold up. Returning
slippery inside shoe if you sweat a lot
I would pass these over if you sweat a lot or are planning heavy exertion. They only have 53% merino and it shows. Lacks sweat absorption under heavy performance. Disappointing.

These socks are great for running on hot days. My feet do not sweat as much but there is less cushioning. Love them for summer runs.
Why I am willing to pay this much for socks
I was recently looking for a pair of warm socks. I went in to my daughters room and found a pair of smart wool socks that I bought over 10 years ago. I had forgotten about these socks. They looked barely worn and in such great shape after all this time. That day I went on smart wool and bought 10 more pairs. I surprised even myself with how much I was spending on 'just socks' but I had proof that it was worth it. With care these socks will last over 10 years.
